Hey Friends!

I hate when ppl use a lala to show something. gears or mounts, they all look tiny.

Thanks :) Yhoiryo! I think if you have the extra money its worth it. Its very aesthetically pleasing to look at!

I think it's just a black horse. no glowing effect or anything that worth 24 bucks.

I agree I dowish it was a more reasonable price. I think i really just like it because of the completionist in me trying to collect everything :X.

I have already seen a lot of these guys on Tonberry, as soon as 2.4 was up to play as well lol XD. I hadn't even ventured onto the Mog Station that earlier and people already couldn't wait to buy their horse XD.

All three minions are great too :). They are cute, but if you want them to do a lot of animation they might not be for you. Each of the three minions only perform one animation each. Y'shtola does her Protect animation from the cut scene; Yda punches the air and Papalymo lectures you :p.

I actually went to look this up, holy hell! A paid subscription MMO charging 24$ for a vanity mount? My god. I mean... yah... I'm just going to pretend the cash shop ain't there (even if I want that Y'shtola minion...), just man, thats a pretty steep price to pay.

Anyway, my bewilderment aside, nice little video.

I think the horse look off proportion for some reason. Was it because the legs is a bit short? Or maybe the body is a little bit big? I dunno. It seems off in my opinion.

That's probably because it is on a lalafell too, so the mount is shorter.

A friend of mine bought the mount and it looks nice, but it looks rather overweight and plump and sounds heavy when it rides. (He's even said the same thing) but considering all that armor Odin wears. I'm guessing that's why Slepnir is a little bit chubby/chunky. However it's still a lot nicer then the Frontline's horse whose back legs are just messed up and as such it runs like a retarded horse or Dobin from those Christmas Pantomimes..

the overall weight of the mount looks more like the body weight of a real minature pony/horse.

I had a friend growing up that had a miniature pony and it always look oddly off when it came to body proportions.
This was the first thought i had when I first got this mount, lol totally did not help that i was a lalafell on it as well x.o

Lalafells with sleipnir just make it look...weird

Is there a special theme tune with the mount a la Chocobo / Fat Chocobo? Or is it just the standard mount theme?

I got him and hes one of the best looking mounts in game {in my book} for me was he worth 24$? well i love this game {for now} and when i love something i don't mind spending a bit more cash on it^^ so yes worth it

Silly question, but does anyone have a link to the theme that's played for the mount? I usually turn it off in options, but if it's interesting enough - I may end up getting this.

I bought him as well. He's awesome. I love the red-brown feathered mane and tail. The rest of him reminds me of the Ringwraith's mounts from LOTR.

No more like it's a cash shop if you don't like it don't look at it mounts outfits etc are not giving players more since at the end of the day i still had to get all my zodiac books and cap my new tomes :P no cash shop can give you that. When SE starts selling players power then ppl can wine

I think the best thing about the Cash Shop is that it cannot be accessed in-game. I honestly thought it would be like it is in many other games. But it's not, which makes it inconvenient unless someone actively wants something on the cash shop (like MOAR FANTASIA!!!1!1!!One!!), which is good as it will be a little more discouraging to impulse buyers like myself.

When they add the two missing legs to Sleipnir then i'll buy it. You paid 6.25 a leg.

I would like to buy it. Can't wait till SE adds PayPal to their Crysta purchase options.

It's also account wide, so all characters can access it. I have three characters, so technically Sleipnir was just $8 for each of them.

Show me what a Roe looks like riding it, then I'll care.

I had 1100 crysta left over from years ago so I added on 13 bucks and bought this mount. It's my only horse mount it wasn't hard to say yes to buying it. I can say without a shred of doubt that at this point in time I have zero plans to ever buy anything from the cash shop again. I figure the only way that will change is if some day there's something cooler than this mount to buy. I just can't think of anything that would make that so, unless they start going down that flying mount in cash shop path and saving the coolest shit to cash in on. That's how STO did things with starships to great success, as much as everyone hated them for doing it.

So unless that happens, I have made my first and last purchase in the XIV cash shop, and I'm not even going to get into that whole earn/buy items debate. It's XIV, not XI. I saw this coming back in beta, and mark my words the next thing that will come is this game's version of dilithium ore. Crysta is already in place for it.

There are actually 4 legs missing. Sleipnir is supposed to have 8.

I'd rather have the glowing ponies.

Needs a special animation like how the Drake breathes fire & etc.

I hate the primal horses because of the glowing effects. Sleipnir is really up my alley and I hope there are less glowy effects in the future. (Unless they're allagan-ish) I do think some nice mount music would be fitting if I were to complain about anything.
