I couldn't find any threads about this but, does anyone else feel like the rogue's hide walk animation is a little... lame? I was hoping for more of a sneaky/stealthy animation. Has square mentioned anything about this, or are we stuck with this hide animation?

I don't think I can play rogue atm... hopefully they will make hide like world of warcraft rogues. -

While I agree with the lack of...uniqueness...to Hide, I have to say that if this is the only complaint of Rogue we have so far, they've done quite well with the mechanics otherwise.

I always thought that even on DoH it looked kinda lame to just walk but I suppose it's more acceptable for those than for a Ninja to be carelessly walking about stealthed in a heated battle, waiting to put a dagger in your neck.

I sorta treated it like Assassin's Creed, ya know hiding in plain sight in all that jazz, But I suppose it could be a bit more unique.

If you want it to look better, just unsheath your weapons. It slightly alters the walking animation and makes it look much more like stalking a target

I like going into Hide mode with a puff of smoke, then casually strolling about like i own the place. Its refreshing compared to WoWs goofy splayed arms wobble walk. -

The animation is lame and the action itself is rather useless except in pvp...

I'll wager not many ROGs have seen it happen (im the only ROG ive seen in lowbie DR so far), But in Halatali, confirmed it by making sure i was in Hide before the boss pulls. It instantly breaks me out every time, as soon as the boss looks at the tank.Quote:
