They'll probably try to fix it, but I'm pretty sure devs have stated that PS3 support is only going to be 100% up until the expansion and then it's up in the air and probably being dropped anyway.

Can anyone else confirm this? My wife doesn't have REX down so I can't check myself (I'm on PC). I haven't done EX yet so I don't know the battle script. Is the follow-up after the icicle blades the same in EX as it is in HM? The game may be crashing due to a coding error in the battle script and not a graphic glitch (since both fights would be calling the same animations).

I can confirm it. I play on PS3 and whenever the first circle ice AOE is about to crash to the ground, the game freezes. Attempted Shiva EX twice and the game crashed both times during the same exact part early in the fight. I honestly feel like it's a bug because I do not have many issues with playing the game on PS3 (I've cleared t9 for quite some time without any crashing or issues like this). But, I pretty much will not be joining any Shiva EX parties until this gets fixed because the instance is unplayable for me.

in the meantime go into the character configuration page. there is a section with effects
self
party
others
enemies
set others and enemies to limites or none, should fix the issue atleast for the moment. -

I can also confirm this happens.
I'm on PS4 but the 1st time I tried Shiva EX today, we had 3 people disconnecting 3 times at the exact same spot.
They all reported that the game crashed and that they were on PS3.
2 guys left and one guy said he managed to get a " fix " for this.
He said he went 1st person view (R3 when not targetting anything iirc) and looked to the outside of the arena, so no crazy ice crystal AoE would need to be rendered.
He didn't crash.
It's like a Petrification from t7 except you dont get stoned or die. You DC.
You will disconnect if you dont look away AND enter 1st person view.
Talk about extreme... -
