For those of you who haven't bought them yet, you can get the wedding gear from Rianne in Uldah – Steps of Nald (X:9 Y:9). Unless you desperately need HQ for some strange reason.

Grrr, and I bought my three pieces from the MB this morning because I figured there would be no way it would be vendor sold.
How much are the bride pieces?
Wait...are people getting married or "eternally bonded" already? I thought that wasn't due until the expansion or future patches.
Cool! Any pictures of the clothes yet?
On Odin the Best Mans shoes are 42,000.
I would be slightly surprised that the developers added them to an NPC vender because of the screw up of releasing the crafting materials for them before patch release. They know how many people would want them and how the player base will just jack up the price on the market board. The sets are 2 star crafts and not one of the other 2 star level 1 vanity sets are available this way. So my guess is their way of ninjaing a 'we f'ed up, here you go'. It would not take too long for them to make this quick change.
A little, but not too bad. The dress and leggings were literally only a couple hundred over NPC price. So, no biggie. However, the shoes I did end up paying about 6,000 gil more than vendor price. :(
At least now I know, so if I wanna buy the jacket and pants, I get them from the vendor.
I heard that marriage won't be in till patch 2.45. That true?
Doubt it, since the mats for these items are the cheaper ones...If they were really trying to make things better, they should have added the artisan gear to the NPC vendor :p I think it was always intended this way, especially since the preliminary patch notes already said the NPC in question would carry new items.
Also, I don't think this is the only wedding gear. I mean, it says bride's maid and best man...so I'm thinking the ones getting "eternally bonded" will have their own set.
Funy thing - all the items info is available right here at Lodestone ;)

Also its not marriage its a friendship ceremony. Platonic thankfully.
One of the mats I read in patch note, which is field demimat II are came quite easily from desynthing aetherite rings for GSM. Think I might craft one myself instead. :D
I did a quick test on coeurl, MB was full of marriage gear for WAY more than the npc.
Bought a set and put to sell with the lowest price and they sell >_>
Looks like people don't read the game info posted on the website ~_~
Good way of getting money when ur broke rofl
Wedding gear will be a legendary fish desynth. Fact.
Also, we got hipster glasses with this patch ^ ^ Easy to craft too and cute with many outfits.
As for the best man's outfit. Looks good but covers my skin too much :p

Dyed Pure White :)
Feeling like quite the Playboy gent.
I think it's funny the women can wear the suit and the dress, yet the men only have the suit.
LET THE MEN WEAR THE DRESSES
I would love to see a male character running around in a dress
The male jacket looks great on females, especially paired with the spring skirt.
The bridesmaid dress is hideous though... especially if you try to dye it anything but white. The dye colours turn this murky dusty dirty colour. I couldn't stand it so I sold mine cheap on the marketboard and ate the loss.
I bottoms and shoes, however, are adorable and I am trying to figure out other outfits I can use them on. :)
Agree 100%
Dress looks disgusting..... unless you dye it in like the 1 or 2 colors that work.
The bottoms are flirty and I love the detailing on the panties part. Trying to mix and match it though and I cant make up my mind what top to pair it with.
The male shoes actually work pretty well as "flats" for girls and look better than a lot of other shoes where you might want heels. Just dye them to get rid of the shiny aspect and they match cloth pretty well from my limited testing. I wish there were more "slim" style shoes and less boots.
I personally assumed that the point of having the (pricey) recipe and the vendor mass-produced gear at the same time was for RP purposes. It was very popular in FFXI to have certain gear be signed by a crafter friend just as a token of friendship/love/whathaveyou. This way you can either get your vendor gear for glamour purposes, or when actual ceremonies are introduced I assume many sentimental players will be insisting on having their wedding gown be handcrafted HQ by some loved one.
If that's not the case then whatever, but I thought it was SE taking the opportunity to allow people to be cute on top of fulfilling glamour demands via NPC.
I actually like the muted colors, especially since the dye colors can be so harsh. :) It makes it look softer and adds a vintage quality to it somehow, which is a look I can appreciate. And I do love the length. Overall, the dress is pretty cute. It's just the frilly neckline with the ribbons that will put it in that "hideous" category for a lot of people. I'd love the dress if they changed the neckline, but I liked it enough that I still glamoured it.
Let me know what you do with the shoes. I think they're adorable too, but have no clue what to do with them. I was kind of expecting somebody with the Evenstar tutu to glamour the ballet slippers, but I haven't seen that yet. lol
