Talan wants 3 of the 3-star untradeable items e.g. Balanced Darksteel Hook. HQ. I feared this when I read in the patch notes that these were now HQable.
Need nearly 9000 quality. Feeling mildy sick right now lol. Even with the single HQable ingredient (maybe worth 1500 quality?)

To HQ the turn in items, is like HQ'ing those 3 star weapons. PBP will only get you so far. The good news is you can desynth what you fail, the bad news is you get fieldcraft demimateria I from them.... This is an insult and does nothing but encourage RMT for those who aren't willing to desynth all the fieldcraft 3 they will need.

For 800? I'd have though 2 at the least - the first will get you 270ish progress, the second in the order of 180 maybe? That still leaves a lotta progress to get. CS will only get you 75 or so on 3 stars iirc...

I thought the people in this thread might be interested to know that a weaver can desynth the bridesmaid and bestman's clothes which can be bought from the clothier NPC across from the aetheryte plaza in ul'dah and receive fieldcraft demimateria III from it. These clothes cost about 12-18k a piece from NPC.
