I don't usually make useless threads, but this called my attention. I just met these Temple Knights (Which armors are damn sexy) and...

That blade looks like a polished Curtana.

There was a sword in FFXI that had that look going. Blue, kindy marble-looking blade. Can't remember the name but I seem to recall it was highly sought-after.

Aside from the sword, I seriously hope that silver armor set is available to us in game too. Would really love it for my PLD.

Why do people keep thinking that's a Curtana. Clearly it's the same sword held by the male Hyur on the artbook cover (which people also called Curtana). Clearly it's not Curtana, though, the blade is much too thin. It likely is a sword pulled from XI, as seems the theme of this patch. Not that I mind, XI had alot of good armor designs in it and, as long as their lore doesn't come with it, I wouldn't mind seeing more.

I bet it's Joyeuse.

Hmm, that would be a very interesting departure from it's prior incarnation in XI as the rapier to get if rapiers were your thing (prior to the 76~ level cap increases anyway). Not saying I want it to be a rapier, just that it'd be an interesting departure. Hope we can get it, and that it's not a lacklustre blade like alot have been.
