Can we please get an actual white dye for DRG AF? Almost every colour looks metallic... I understand the armour is metal, but other metal gear seems to get non metallic colours. When I applied the gold dye it looked almost exactly like coeurl yellow which makes having metallic and non metallic dyes kind of pointless.
As a comparison, the image below shows DRG AF with pure white dye alongside the tank i90 crafted gear dyed pure white.

Yes yes yes, this is exactly what I was griping about when the augments first came out because that "snow white" was BS. When I saw they were giving us "pure white" I squeed... until I previewed it. STILL NOT WHITE. C'mon guys, why is it every frigging AF set and metal armor in the game get to be white, except the dragoon?

It's related to some armour sets after Darklight went dyeable getting the metallic shine when you dye them. DRG AF is one of them, hence why pure white turns into light silver as you say it. It's basically the actual pure white + metallic shine = light silver.
Until they put in some sorta option to allow us to say "Okay, I see you get dyed with a metallic shine by default but I'd rather you don't" that's sadly how it'll have to be :( -

I still think there is a problem here, pure white should be just that, solid colours should be solid colours and metallic should be metallic. I wouldn't even mind if it was bright white with a metallic shine, but it's more like ash grey with a shine (if I had to link it to a non metallic colour). -

Erm... I'm not really sure where people are getting the whole "this is white with a metallic shine" thing from. Surely people have seen metal things painted white? Like cars? Yes, from a distance a pale silver car and a white car can look the same but up close they're very easy to tell apart and the white would never look this dark a grey even under a dark shadow.

They actually introduced these metallic dyes because people where annoyed that dyes where changing the material.
I assumed black and white dyes would be matte and more metallic dyes would be added later. -
