Things will change though, they might add in more stuff depending on feedback etc. I hope its not immediately lvl 50, that would take all the fun out of it. Maybe it will start at lvl 1, we won't know till later.

Very good! I was in the camp that wanted Dark Knights as tanks. I think jobs with the same role tend to have fun rivalries and no two jobs make more sense as rivals than Dark Knights and Paladins.

I can't say that I am happy. I wanted Thief but they crush my dreams of that. I wanted Dark Knight but they make it a tank. My 2 favourite jobs ruined for me. Tanking in this game just does not appeal to me at all.

I actually don't like that DRK doesn't have a class. I feel that the system should be consistent, one or the other (no class system or classes for everyone). Arcanist had 2 jobs branched off of it, so it wouldn't be impossible.

There is essentially no difference between a class+job and a job unless the class splits to two jobs.
I think it's neat that you start as a common thing in the game, gladiator, archer, thaumaturge or whatever and then, because you're badass enough, get to be a sweet rare job thing.
There's a lot more neat potential in classes and jobs than simply having jobs. Oh well, guess it's too hard.
I'm kinda sad Dark Knight is a tank just because I think that makes it less likely Samurai is. -

PLD was a pain leveling until I learned the AoE "dance", while WAR was fun. The problem is there's too much pressure on you doing your job right in dungeons and instances, and you're usually the first one blamed if anything goes wrong. I strangely enough find being a healer to be far less pressure, despite the fact that it's usually on you for whether the party survives.Quote:
