Loves me a sci-fi uniform theme.

Cant Wait to not get a Raid Wpn for the 3rd Coil Patch ina Row...

/sigh looks like my Summoner remains in Augmented AF gear forever for glamors (until that smexy AF2 is finally given to us.) I really dislike this look and design. I feel like were becoming the Eorzean Power Rangers or something, too uniformed. Not unique enough between each job/class.

But as usual, the bard bows are never "simple" XD

cool! But why do casters (and tanks) have to share gear again? It's getting old. ; ;

I really like it. I've been wanting to get some Garlean-tech styled gear since launch so I am happy with the set.

I don't mind the sci fi theme, but these sets look so interchangeable it's sad. The soldiery sets might have looked kind of weird, but at least they looked different.

OH THANK GOD! Bard sets actually looks really nice, hated every single set so far that they had in game for it. YESH!

Oh wow. Magitek gear! Finally, a set of current gear I don't feel the need to glamour over with my favorite Onion Doublet etc.!

Still, a heck of a lot better looking that the Soldiery stuff for MNK. Tired of looking like some kind of circus sideshow.

That caster gear is EVERYTHING. Curse you, Ninja, for siphoning away my Poetics tomes >.>

Love the WHM one. But the others.. Maybe I'll like them more in game.

I think a good recoloring would help that.

Black and white with teal accents are a hallmark of modern high tech sci-fi design. Roman belts/skirts are an interesting touch.

Yeah. Almost always for the bad guys.
FF1- Evil time fortress.
FF2- The Dreadnought.
FF3- Crystal tower, but that's really more mystical than anything else.
FF4- Giant death robot.
FF5- Not a prominent theme.
FF6- Used by the evil empire. The final battle takes place on a mountain of it.
FF7- Literally killing the planet.
FF8- Could never hold my attention enough to check if the schools where actually evil.
FF9- Not a prominent theme. Technology and fantasy are pretty evenly mixed thanks to renaissance storybook style.
FF10- Actually not evil for once, but the group most skilled in it is ostracized for it.
FF11- Not a prominent theme overall. Some evil mechanisms but nothing with much focus.
FF12- Evil sky fortress thing. Not a major theme.
FF13- Using humans. Technology is the actual for real bad guy.
FF14- Our enemies have sleek industrial style mechanisms made to kill us to death.

Is that a full mask helmet for the Arcanist? Wtf

Cybernetic looking gear? Awesome! I've always wanted something like this.

Well, this looks interesting, thougt I think my caster gear will still be glamoured with the Royal/Crimson gear, the other classes have some new glamour possibilities.

Is this drops or from tomestones?
Also im so glad my main is a healer its the only one i like from the ones in the picture!

I think I need to go clean myself.

So the new mount will be light cycles? Don't dig it.

The patch notes names this gear as (Augmented) Ironworks. That should explain the Magitech vibe.

Those monk fists look sweet.

By far the best looking gear in the game.

Laughing? Yes cuz imo this seems like a more suitable gear look for the final coil imo. With all the sci fi glow / mech theme goin on.
Will we ever get to be a whm or blm in pure tome cloth/ leather ever again? Probs not until the expansion.
And yes i would love to have a light cycle and have an allagan housing area that looks like the grid from TRON.
But seriously it'll be so ridiculous if we can upgrade/ craft them sp tey can be dyeable.

I am thinking AF2 will probably be quested on your way to level 60 in Heavensward 3.0. The same way the original AF was quested in 1.0

The dragoon head part has a "metal gear fantasy : rebornetic" feeling to it, too raiden like xd

Finally, BRD won't look gay this time.

Not necessarily religion, but the antagonists of the trilogy were all gods (with the exception of Caius), but then again Evil gods/pseudo-gods are par for the course for the franchise since at least VI or VII

Weird... the Patch Notes only list 6 Ironworks gear sets and 6 Dreadwyrm gear sets (Fending, Maiming, Striking, Aiming, Casting and Healing).
