So.....any potshots at what she'll be wearing for 2.4? Something more conservative, or will she be showing off more skin? I'll throw down my cards and say she'll be conservative. Maybe even a dress this time around.

This is the 6th time I seen you use "slutty" and you use it incorrectly. Once again, do you call people who go to the beach and wear swimsuits "slutty"? Or when someone hops into the shower and have to get naked, is that considered "slutty"? In 1.0 she actually dressed down in every patch which I found kind of funny.

Hopefully more "skin."

I've been playing this game since beta and I've yet to see any NPCs I'd call 'slutty'. Which ones are you talking about? (Please don't say Minfilia. If you find that outfit slutty, I really hope you never leave the Middle East.)

Perhaps slutty isn't the best word to describe it but they are certainly provocative, sexualized, and/or scantily clad. You can't possibly deny that.

Nobody is denying that they dress revealing. Revealing does not equal slutty, nor even sexualized in my opinion. That's just slut-shaming which is deplorable.

I'd say the U tribe (I think that's what they're called) in the forgotten springs is a good example.

The issue is calling women (or anyone, for that matter) in derogatory terms such as "slutty" for the way they do or do not dress. Using that word has the additional weight of sending a message of that person having less value because they're a woman (or, rarely, a man) expressing sexuality. It's called "slutshaming" and doing it on game discussion forums isn't any cooler than doing it in real life.

That's revealing, not slutty. Those are not mutually exclusive. And my remark wasn't racist. I didn't make any statements about any race. I made a statement about a geographical region well known for oppressing females and viewing even the slightest bit of skin as not just "slutty", but a crime. I suggest you go find a dictionary before you water down the term racist any more than it already is.

To answer the OP's question - Rowena should dress however she'd like, though I wouldn't be opposed to more skin.

Rowena, if you choose to wear nothing at all, I want you to know that there's nothing wrong or shameful about your body, being proud of it or using it for its' intended purpose. My only request is that you please keep plenty of hand sanitizer at your counter.

I agree. I don't think slutty is the correct word to describe this situation. Revealing, provocative, suggestive, etc. Nothing wrong with that IRL or in game as far as I'm concerned.

rowena is a fictitious character and as such lacks the ability to choose her dress

slutty is a derogatory term used to police the way women dress

telling someone to stay "in the middle east" as a way to insinuate conservative aesthetics is, in fact, racist

Rowena runs an oppressive ruthless monopoly. She eliminates competition, silences criticism, and controls both supply and demand. Beware of her, she is like the offspring of J.P. Morgan and Vladimir Putin. No one should care how she dresses, the only concern for us should be what ridiculous price she will demand for her exclusive wears...

I hope that she starts to slowly dress more ornate. I picture her as becoming the future leader of Revenant's Toll as it turns into a proper city. The coolest thing to me has been the build up each patch, the changes and the increase in the number of people (npcs) in the area. The addition of landscaping, and cool places to afk/hide in are really adding some great depth. I hope she'll keep progressing as her city is, and well... look spiffy.

To be honest I dont know where she is in 2.3... she just disappeared or is in a place I don't know or missed...

Before was in the middle of 2 NPC then 2.3 come and there is a house with her name but she isn't there...

Personally I don't care whether Rowena's outfit is more revealing or not, I don't get all hot and bothered by a bunch of pixels.
I do hope her outfit does evolve to reflect her elevated status though, so something maybe more fancy and ornate.
