Just an appreciation thread to Square-Enix.

Thank you for making content on the level of savage coil difficulty and normal coil difficulty, as well as all the other tough fights like Titan EX and Ramuh EX.

We hope you continue to make content of this calibur and appreciate all you have done for the gaming community to help FFXIV be truly reborn.

SE deserves some love. They do so many things to make this game more fun for everyone, and while some people would've turned off the forums long before now, SE stand their ground. Great job, SE. I wouldn't be able to handle as much as you guys.

I think I remember your name here and there calling the doom on FFxiv if they diminish Coil's difficulty (which they will do, without a doubt, as they announced t even before the game was launched)

The devs can make good stuff, I think we all agree on that.
I really appreciate the story line, the lore from the English team, the amazing cutscenes, the realistic graphics, the natural motions (except Lalafell v2.0), etc.

Too bad other people at SE are making bad decisions that dampen the experience...*cough* mindless grind and cash shop *cough*.

I love a lot of the content in this game, and the storyline that the lore team has built is absolutely phenomenal compared to many other MMOs on the market today.

My only real criticism is the difficulty in which players get their hands on that lore outside of doing the quests and posting on the Lore forums. I think a lot of this lore is extremely important and there should be some kind of a lore codex to really delve deep into Eorzean Lore.

I dont mind SE nerfing and dumbing down content if its lets say 3 - 6 months after it was brought to game. I prefer to do the content while its hard to have some kind of challenge but I also think that everyone should have chance to clear it, not immediately but after some time? Why not..

Did you get a warning or something? Last 10 times I saw your name on the forum it was about how SE nerfs this game and how this game is too easy.

I'm with you on the too easy part. I just like to keep it real and don't start an "appreciation" thread all of a sudden. I do think they do a solid job. However, they shoot themselves in the foot with trying to please two groups: too hard for casuals, too easy for hardcores for lack of better wording for both groups. All we need is two difficulties (3 would be perfect so there could be one story-line mode) with corresponding ilvl drops.

Thank you for keeping with Final Fantasy tradition and recoloring those mobs and reusing their animations and skeletons for the 100th time.

So what? OP was making a topic praising SE for something he liked. He is in a public forum, so he can expect ppl with different opinion. I can say we dont need ppl like you, also. Like someone said above, the much we pay SE is a "thank you" enough. To have to endure as much as we have, incluing producers liying to the fanbase, silly design choices, producers who dont hear the majority of the fans, etc. So thanks for all that.

If it's that bad, why are you here? Your complaints make it apparent you don't enjoy it here, so why keep paying them for all their "lies and silly design choices"? Just sayin'.

The point of this place is to give feedback to SE on how they can make the game better. Im not saying i dont enjoy the game, but its far from great and perfect, thats why we complain, so they can see whats wrong, and do something about it.

I seem to recall the OP spending some time since Fanfest being nothing but an aggressive complainer about Coil and whatnot. This appreciation thread, while seemingly good on the surface, is completely suspicious considering the OP's actions the past few days.

Be honest, you totally got a warning, didn't you?

People are quick to complain, yet stay silent when they're content, so it's nice to have more threads like this so the developers can see we DO enjoy their game and appreciate the work they put into it. No matter what they do, someone's going to be unhappy about something.

MMOs tend to be more of a grind than RPGs, and JRPGs tend to have a grind to begin with. Can't say it was completely unexpected. :p

with no grind of any sort, people have no reason to stay in the game, as they finish every content way faster than devs can program and test it (even with moderate grinds as in FFxiv people still finish all content faster than it's released)

Yes it was him and not only that was berating and insulting most of the people on these forums which is why I think his thread got locked previously in which was whining about SE's performance and direction about how they currently implement such content, insulting casual players plus picking fights with the other users here who dared to have an opinion contrary to his own, telling them to quit playing and that they are ruining the game because did not agree with him.

SE does do some things well and some things not so well...but it really is very suspicious/dubious for the OP to have such a drastic change of heart on a subject that was whining about a few days ago across many threads in which berated SE's approach to hardcore content and now doing a 180 on his previous comments especially given their approach to it has not changed between the time he was berating them on this subject to now complimenting them on it.

I like to go back to the beginning of this game as a reference on how Square Enix is far more different than other online game developers. Every MMO that has failed has more or less had the plug pulled or resorted to doing nothing to change the game and adopting a free-to-play cash shop model.

Square Enix put the green light to invest in reviving FFXIV to world class standard. it has matched if not surpassed every MMO ever created. Still lacking some content that other MMO's have dominated in but FFXIV is a metaphor to a phoenix reborn from the ashes of fire.

It is a good idea actually. Let's keep praising them for using the same content several times, maybe we will get a couple more versions.

I give them money. I've yet to hear something that would stop me from giving them money. They also state most things in advance of where my money is going in these live letters of theirs.

My cash goes to their transparency and the fact that they have their ears open. Even if their are usually two to four emergency maintenances after patches.

Keep the work SE and I'll spend more time in ya than Tera.

Thank you Yoshida and your team for making a large amount of content despite your team being very small. Most of you probably don't sleep alot (looking at you, Yoshida), since you try hard to keep up with the demand and to make changes with issues arise. I do hope that you guys could hire more people, but I understand your value on quality workers over quantity. Maybe someday. Also to the animation team, thank you so much for adding little bits here and there! I do appreciate those little secret add ins, do wish you guys could do full blown lipsyncs since the mouth flaps kinda annoy me, but sometimes you have to sacrifice quality for time.
