Shiva theme?

did anyone get a recording of the shiva theme from the live letter? I missed it by a couple minutes

Agreed. It didn't feel shiva-esque to me. All the other themes have matched their primals really well. I'm feeling this disconnect right now between shiva and the song. :/ Maybe actually playing the fight will make me feel better about it.

Same. I thought the theme in the trailer was the music, and I really enjoyed it. What it actually sounds like is a theme from the opening of an anime show. Do not like.

Actually, it wasn't bad at all...I kinda warmed up to it.
Also, it helps that it was confirmed to play out after a "certain" phase (*coughdiamonddustcough*).

Wow .. I mean ...i'm impressed, really. This is a work of art representing full Bad Taste at its peak. The preview is quite awful, i'll see when i actually get to fight shiva .. as of now, I'm just amazed by the courage and the amount of bad taste put into this theme. Really amazing.

As a prog rocker...I fricking love this theme. Because it's just amazing hearing how different all the primal themes are. They all sound like completely different genres of music and it's just incredibly ambitious. While this one is definitely kinda whack, they all are to be honest.

if what i heard from the dream of ice trailer is the slow mo beat and this song is the active portion like how leviathan is; who knows i'd dig it.

Agreed. If it starts out like the trailer and builds up to this, I kinda like it. At least it's not "leviathanleviathanleviathanleviathan" ...that was a travesty.

From what was said, the 'song' will most likely play the second Shiva snaps her fingers. And then her dreams of being an 80's pop-star will come true.

I don't really like it. But then again, I didn't like what I heard of Leviathan, then when I heard it in the actual fight, fell in love with it. So I will withhold judgment until I'm in the fight doing it. :)

You know its not favorite style of music... BUT ITS NOT BAD. I love the way they handle the music for the Primals, and I'm sure that once I see the full product I won't be disappointed.

And again, imagine the music kicking in the second she snaps her fingers for Diamond Dust. It's the perfect transition.

I can't tell how I will like this song until I hear it while fighting Shiva. Personally Ramuhs' theme is my favourite :), I wish there were more like it!

It's probably not a bad piece of music, certainly not to my taste, but what gets me is... on what planet is this boss music? :(

For me I'm afraid it all went downhill after Titan (which I think is fantastic). Levi is ok, bit of a weak chorus, but not bad. Ramuh is just... awful, goes off after a couple of wipes lol. At least it sounds like boss music though :( this seems horribly out of place.
I shall reserve full judgement for the full song and battle, but initial impression isn't good for me.

Loved Levi's theme, hated Ramuh's, and Shiva's is kinda growing on me. Gonna have to see how it feels when actually in the fight.

it's not bad.. doesn't fit her though, nor the setting - they better have the first half of the fight with the Trailer BGM though! :o (like Levi has 2 themes).

After hearing how mystical Ramuh's theme was then shifting to this...ugh.

I don't follow music so I have no clue what is 'mainstream' and so forth but its certainly not how i envisioned Shiva. I figured they'd play off the gimmick of 'Ice Queen' and be a bit more serious/royal/tactful. This just sounds like a young kid having an emo fit to me.

I love it! Reminds me of Silent Hill soundtracks.

Meh, probably the worst of the primal themes. Didn't much care for it. Ramuh, Titan, and Garuda have the best themes. This one just didn't sound like it belongs in the game. Of course, that's just my opinion. More power to those who like it.

So many haters. Wow.

Very anime-esque, but not a bad thing at all. It's a bit of a departure from the existing primal themes, which is a good thing. As much as I enjoy Garuda and Ramuh themes, we have enough of that style in the game without giving another primal a wailing choir.

I agree, that's the word I'm least sure about. I just went with the first thing I heard it as.

I think it will sound better in battle then as a stand alone prieview. What I'm more worried about is if I'll even be able to enjoy the music in game at all. Leviathan died LONG before his rock theme could play even once through for me. I hope her hard more is treated more like Ifrit/Garuda/Titan where I can go in and help a lot. Going once for a face-rolled story and unable to get involved regularly with extreme is a really disappointing setup for me.

i really like it, and i love how different all of the primal themes are... maybe the questline will provide more context behind the lyrics?

I hate it... whats next, rap.
