Time to pick apart the new logo

During the stream when they were talking about this new logo they mentioned that there are alot of hints hidden in this logo. If you have the premium stream you can rewatch it at the 36:00 minute mark when they are talking about it. This community has proven SE cant keep anything secret from us. So what do you see in the new logo? Im sure theres plenty here that im not seeing.

New jobs gotta be in there somewhere. The DRG is the most clear to see one but the rest are hard to tell what they are. One is wearing what looks like an onion helm for some reason. And cant tell if the one with the sword in just a PLD or possibly a samurai or maybe dark knight?

The dragon seems to be composed of different things

The dragon's gotta be Nidhogg from the dragoon storyline, behind it looks to be Ishgard, below it the "flying mount" mentioned earlier is probably a new FC airship

I really don't see much else =/

Airship, 100%.

I can't tell if one of them is holding a halberd or a staff.

after zooming it, all i can say is that it's too pixelated.

Ishgard kinda looks like the Mother Crystal

Ya definitely need a higher res image to zoom in on. The one in the op is all I could find at the time. Some of those characters at the bottom look odd but can't zoom in and see them clear enough to really tell what's different about their armor and weapons.

All I see is Ishgard.

I see a floating continent, a knight with sword and shield (DRK?), dragoons, dragon breathing fire.

Duh.

I can see there what looks like a paladin, a bunch of dragoons or lancers and a weird thing in the floor, like a scared man on his knees, and if you want to be imaginative... because of its curvature one of the spears looks like a nodachi, a very long curbed katana, the guy on the middle in the group that is right under the dragon.

V is the first letter to appear, so FFV references ;x

dragon, new jobs, Ishgard, k, buy.

I'm intrigued by the one that looks like it's wearing an Onion Knight helmet.

So that thing under the dragon people were saying was a flying mount, looks more like 3 Ishgardians to me. At least, they all appear to be wielding halberds and lances in the larger picture.

I see a DRG that isn't on the ground dead, and the Dragon is playing Hot/Cold with his mouth.

oh my god, I thought I was the only one who noticed that! ONION KNIGHT!

Going out on a limb here, but maybe they are gonna replace the class system with "Onion Knight" job, and do away with classes altogether. Onion knight is typically the thing you choose when you want to be sort of mediocre at everything, which is kind of what the class system is when you think about it. It lets you cross class a lot of skills but you're not as good as a regular job. Classes were supposed to be the thing you do when you want to solo and maybe you need some extra skills, so onion knight could be the go-to job for soloing as a jack-of-all-trades, master of none, sort of deal.


On another note, I want to concur with the person who said that ishgard looks like the mother crystal. I think the way they've depicted the city here is probably intended to invoke that image. What the city of ishgard has to do with the mothercrystal ? Who knows.

the 2 silhouettes beneath the dragons breath, they look like there in samurai armor. Those shoulder pads, overlap. and the head piece.

I do kind of get the feeling that Yugiri's race actually is a Viangaa, in that it is some sort of reptillian with rabbit like ears. Of course it probably won't be called Viangaa, but I'm thinking that's what it's actually going to be in principle. If Viangaa was really just an april fool's joke from 3 years ago, I doubt that they would bring it up again at fan fest.

Those things on Yugiri's head don't look like bunny ears to me. They are probably horns.

As for the logo: you could see a Viera into that logo. Then again, it could just as easily be some ornamental stuff on the helm.

As depicted in the logo, Heavensward is about 8 dads playing in the snow and then a dragon shows up and ruins their day. They team up to fight their mutual enemy, nega-dad.
