Question Regarding Nexus Stats Increase

Just got my Nexus a few days ago and im just wondering about what stats and how many points is increased.

My Artemis Bow Novus > Nexus only got 1pt into crit. However on my bow I also have 21 DET/ACC

Before : 33 crit 21 DET/ACC
After : 34 Crit 21 DET/ACC

I looked at another bow that had crit and det capped (44crit 31 det) and has gotten 46 Crit 32 DET after.

So just wondering if anyone know how this stuff works.

When a stat eclipses a certain threshold, it gets a stat increase when leveled up. I think for two points, you have to be 40+, and for 1 point, you have to be 31+

So basically, currently, if you have more than 2 stats on your novus, you will only receive 1 point in your highest stat (unless that 1 stat is above 40, in which case you'll get 2 points in that stat. but don't quote me on that)

Now it just a matter of if i wanna dip atleast 1m+ for Savage Might IVs and drop my acc to even lower (currently sitting at 487 as brd)

You don't. That 1 point isn't going to mean anything and you will get it once the iL on the weapons increases anyway.

Incorrect I restated mine to 40, 26, 9 and I got 41, 27, 9. Also there is no proof we will get that point back, if anything we will be missing more points with the next I lvl increase

This was a 5 ilevel increment. There's probably a fraction somewhere getting Floored that will fall in line properly with an increase to i120.

No, it's what Lithera said.

Basically look at it this way: if going +5 item levels = 50% of a stat point, +10 item levels (the step after nexus) would be 100% of a stat point and you would get the point you missed out on. You just don't get it now because it gets rounded down. Notice that this is only really an issue with the stats that have lower numerical values like Determination, because there are less increments for it to increase.

What I'd like to say happens is it goes by whatever % of the stat you put in.

For example, my relic, I went with the ratio of 100% Determination (31 pts), 70% Skill Speed (31 pts), and 30% Crit (13 points), and my Nexus is now 32 Determination (100%), 32 Skill Speed (70%), and 13 Crit (30%), which falls in line with that. Should be more obvious once the item level goes up more.

For all weapons except Sword:

44cap (Acc Crit Speed Parry): Bonus at 21 and 42 or 22 and 44 (unconfirmed which)
31cap (Det): Bonus at 31
33cap (PIE): Bonus at 15 and 30, or 16 and 32 (needs hard confirmation).

Shield will not get a bonus point. Sword's thresholds seem to be (rough guesstimate)

31cap (Acc Crit Speed Parry): Bonus at 15 and 30.
22cap (Det): Bonus at 21 or 22. Probably 22.

There is some rounding going on behind the scenes but this is basically all you need to know.

My relic might be the good substantial example for this.
My Stadust Rod Novus Secondary stats changed after finished Nexus :
Crit 30 ---> 31
Spell 30 ---> 31
Det 15 ---> 15

My Nexus has 43 CHR which turned into 44, so I think it's safe to say 44 pre-Nexus is required to get 2 points instead of 1.

Quick question. For healers, whose Novus weapons have the innate 9 accuracy, do they still get the 2 bonus points if they max out accuracy, or only 1 point since they're technically only melding 35 materia?

Also as a side-note, how many of each tier do you have to meld if you're maxing out accuracy? Is it 8, 9, 9, 9? Thanks in advance.

The +35 acc will meet the same 44 acc that everyone else can get. It follows the same rules as everyone else, you just get a few "free" points.

Still don't understand why it couldn't be just a flat +2/+1 increase for your top two stats, or if you have all stats at 25 make it a +1/+1/+1. The way it is seems way too convoluted to be intentional, seems more like it's just laziness on the Dev's part using the iLevel upgrade equation.
