I am considering booking hotels and making the trip if it's likely I'll be able to get one of the tickets sold at the door. I could get there a day early and wait in line. Does anyone have any idea how many might be sold on opening day? If it's hardly any and the chances of getting in are dull then I'll save myself the trip and hotel bookings and not give it a shot. Thanks!

They never said an exact number.
And from past discussions of their comments, its safe to assume less than the early-ticket sales.
Early tickets were 2000, so I would expect 250-500 imo, but that is all my own personal guess.
Just like any concert I would assume they wanted to sell through as much as possible before hand so like 90-95% and leave any cancellations and leftover problem tickets to be sold at window/gate. -
