Enquire Within

Question for those who can get the rank 8 veteran rewards, is it possible to obtain Enquire Within with newly created characters?

For those who don't know, Enquire Within is (so far) the first veteran reward made tradeable, unless they put a restriction, I wonder if people able to get rank 8 rewards can get this item over and over by creating and deleting characters, or if this item being tradeable was a mistake.

One of my fellow FC mates has 4 different Alts. and he put all 4 of his "Enquire Within" paintings inside our FC chest, so it seems you can create extras on a different character and trade it off to somewhere else.

I have a very strong feeling that, if it is marked as tradeable, it is a mistake. Or, if it isn't a mistake, then it just can't be put on the Market Boards. Either way, the devs have been pretty adamant about stopping that kind of abuse.

I don't know if it's a mistake or not, but it can be put up on the market boards, there are tons of them up there on the Hyperion MB's at this very moment.

I don't think there'd be a way to not make it tradeable. Being able to put it in a house means someone else can take it out.

There are a few paintings listed in my server as well, 3 of them sold.

If this was intentional I'm very surprised they allowed something that could be (fairly) labeled as "pay to win", the person listing them already made 2m off them.

They would just need to make it so that it isn't recognized by the Market Board. They could do all this in either a quick fix or the 2.4 patch, and send all of the items that were still on the Marketplace back to their owners via mail. Either that or this is going to be one of the cheapest portraits in the game due to the fact that anyone with rank 8 veteran rewards will be able to make an infinite amount.

But then you have an entirely different issue. If you can only ever get one, what if you wanted to take it out?

Not sure I like that, especially considering OP's concerns about people creating alts JUST to sell these paintings off.

Unfortunately I lack the ability to see into the future, for all I know many of the current vets could quit before they get this item. So, "what's the problem?" That people are able to mass produce a tradeable item by just spamming new characters over and over, does it sound to you like an intended feature?

Think about it as fantasia or aetheryte tickets, before they started selling phials of fantasia it was an one time change, if you ended up regretting it you were SOL, if you used the aetheryte tickets they would (naturally) run out, if you put down this furniture and then regret it, well...

I know there are still ways to circumvent this, but it should have never been in the marketboard.
