Random Idea: Capcom vs. SquareEnix; Which FF14 makes it in?

Basically what the title says. I think there are plenty of FFXIV NPCs that have a potential spot. Discuss! I would like to assume such a game would work off the mechanics of either Tastunoko vs. Capcom, or UMVC3

Easy. Thancred, Louisoux, Gaius, and the Wandering Minstrel representing FFXIV.

Thancred could follow the Captain Commando/Kagami Kyousuke approach by having his special moves involve the other Scions. So one move would call Yda to help out, maybe knock the enemy back to the opposite side of the screen, do a pose and leave. Another special move would have Y'shtola and Papalymo using magic to juggle the enemy a bit, and so on. The super would obviously involve all Scions.

Gaius would be tricky (maybe a power character like Saotome Jin but with slightly faster movement) though I would love to see a super move where he'd use the signal flare from the 1.0 cutscene, the agrius suddenly appears in the background and blasts the opponent with cannon fire.

At the risk of upsetting people, I'd make the minstrel sort of a joke character. A bit of zoning (he is an archer, after all) but his supers would be silly stuff like a stampede of people on gobbue mounts or something along those lines.

Wouldn't Dissidea make more sense than a Verse Capcom game?

God dammit, now I want a PS4 Dissidea game with a roaster taking several from each title again...

On topic: The Scions. All of them. With some kind of tag out mechanic (like the Pokemans trainer in Smash Bros). Also Nael van Darnus, just because having Dalamud as a finishing move is the best thing that could ever happen.

On topic: The Scions. All of them. With some kind of tag out mechanic.

Prob is that Dissidia isn't a Traditional Fighting game. Thats what I'm hoping to see one day. A classic 2D style fighting game, with 3D visuals, similar to MT Frameworks Graphics technology ( seen in Resident Evil 4/5, Street Fighter 4, and of course MvC 3 )

Interesting. Each side would have a moveset of thier own, but would share the same Lv. 3 Hyper.

I get a "Hisui & Kohaku" vibe from that suggestion...

If I knew more about her, I'd say Yuugiri would make a fitting addition. Would also help to have one of the FFXIV reps be a female character.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. The Hisui/Kohaku tag worked similarly. Both characters had different moves but shared one health bar.

On Duelle's Wishlist;

Because they're fan favorites, we've got to at least add one character from FF7-FFX. As for the FF14 portion of the roster, shouldn't we add a certain Ascian?

For Capcom, I would only put One literation of Dante, that being the original, because alot of people HAAAAAATE Emo-Dante ( although the guy isn't anything near Emo but you get what I mean. ). I'd put Fou-lu from BoF IV because he's a badass. And you can't have X without Zero.

One thing to take into consideration for characters is COSTUMES. These days, a 2.5D fighter is bound to have alternative costumes. This being said, Characters imo that would have potentional for alternative costumes would be Thandred, Gaius, or the Biggs/Wedge combination.

Gaius could have access to judge costumes from FFXII (Otsuka Akio thought Gaius was a judge from FFXII when he first saw the concept art). Biggs and Wedge could have alternate costumes based on their prior incarnations (Imperial troopers from FFVI, Galbadian soldiers from FFVIII). Thancred would be a bit difficult, unless you'd want him to wear FFXI THF AF as well as perhaps a Locke costume.

Oh I probably wouldn't play those. I'm too into defensive and counter characters.

FFXIV's Ifrit would probably be a good contender. His eruptions and air throws make for a terrifying mix up game.

Not to mention non-humans tend to have longer reach. I'd be hesitant to add Cloud because of the ridiculous length the Buster Sword would have too.

For the sake of the game, we could have it about the same length as Dante's Rebellion in MvC 3
