Low level Fates for low level classes

It is absolutely impossible for a level 11 conjurer to participate in a level 10 Fate when it is a DoW is one-shotting all the mobs as soon as they appear.

As I see it, the low level Fates were designed for low level classes, so why is there a system that takes the fates away from us and gives it to the ilvl100+ classes doing their ATMA farming?

I gave up on my ilvl88 character because I didn't want to even start the long, tedious, unchallenging fate-grinding journey my FC members complain about so started completely over with an alt so I could do the story quests again. But now I find fates are unavailable to me at low level.

what I'd really like to know is:
Are there any plans to fix this? Give higher classes something better to do than boring tedious Fate farming so lower level classes can have their Fates back?

The system is in place to help low levels complete fates faster. If it wasn't for this, a lot of them would take so long to complete they wouldn't even be worth doing.

I just wish I could level another class while atma farming. :(

It completes the Fates faster alright. Like I said, in a level 10 Fate, a i100+ archer or even monk will one-shot all the mobs as soon as they appear before a conjurer can even get a single cast off. I'm not sure how this possibly helps low levels.

Even worse with a i100+ BLM or SMN with Blizzard II, they'll AoE everything in the area, FATE-related or not! D;

Do you realize they get level capped? It doesn't matter that they're level 100. Also, you have Aero. It's instant cast. Tag enemies, you get full credit for it if you hit them first.

Use Aero, it has 0 cast time. You will still get partial kill credit which makes up for a decent fate bonus.

Level sync means jack squat when an overleveled player can still retain some of their class skills and outgear properly leveled players anyway.

You could always try to send them a tell, say, Hi would you mind leaving me a couple mobs, I'm trying to level.
I understand that sometimes this may not work, I myself do try to be a little more considerate when I see lowbies, I will let them grab for credit then burn it down, but that's just me.

How are you not able to aero things before they die?

To be honest, I'm not so concerned about myself not being able to take part in the Fates...

I was irked at the time when it happened (and then of course happened again and again as I went from one fate to the next, because of course the same high level player also followed he Fates)...

... but a day later, I'm over it... When it happens again I may get irked again, but it doesn't really happen that often that I have a day when I can't do any Fates...

I really hope that by the time I get this 2nd character to high levels again, there's something better for me to do to advance than to have to tediously go along from Fate to boring under-leveled unchallenging Fate just hoping by random chance to get a tine bit closer to advancing my gear just the tiniest bit.

The point I was trying to make here is that if there were something better for the high level characters to do, then this problem wouldn't exist for the low level characters either.

Square won't do anything because they see it as a "good" thing; the majority of the quests needed to be done for relic weapons forces high level players to do low level content as a way to help newbies.

No it's not. There isn't one fate in the game where you can't use aero.

Aero is a level 4 CNJ spell. @Chrissm, you only need look at your character's actions and traits or here at this link to see at what level you achieve Aero. I don't know the exact number of fates you're doing, but as soon as you get level 4, you never lose Aero, because you wouldn't synch below 7 to take a level 2 fate anyway. Maybe you removed it from your hot bar thinking that it was a worthless ability?

Spamming these insta-cast spells ruins the experience for me. It turns lowbie leveling into the same numb grind as the ATMA grind itself. :(

Not to mention, those spells are weak and you need to do at least 30% of the damage in order to get gold.

That simply isn't true. When I do low level Fates as WHM, all I do is put aero on each mob, and I never get less than gold. Yes it's boring, but it's not hard by any means.
If what you're saying was true, only three people could get gold from boss fates. Also, GLD/PLD would never get gold since they do the lowest damage.

There are four sure fire ways of getting gold on FATEs:
1. Being the first to hit newly spawned FATE mobs
2. Building Enmity
3. Healing and Reviving
4. Doing enough damage

Heal the character with the highest enmity, over-heal, and inflict damage after throwing one or two Aero's. Heal everyone in non-boss fates. Join an atma party or make a fate party. Many ways to achieve your goals. [You = OP]

Cross clas blizzard II as your first skill. It does wonders on low level fates. Had the same problems while atma farming but after i tries that I could aggro everything and burn it down. Just spam it in cleric stance.
