Personal Housing

They went the lazy way and just made it so FC housing can be bought be single players. So those on high pop servers better be quick. Thoughts?

Yea, personally I have the Gil but since they're just sharing the same wards with FC houses it kills my interest. I guess it'd be nice to have my own garden but really don't feel like taking away from other FCs that would want to buy.

A complete and utter joke. A letdown of ultimate proportions; I cannot imagine how they could've possibly gone about personal housing in a worse manner than this.

I'm not going to rush to toss my money at another house. Sorry, but I've already had the plesure (or torture) of having to help decorate two large houses on my server. Way too much work for me. Well, I'm glad those players who have hundreds of millions have something to spend it on finally.

So, from what I understand, personal houses are the same as FC houses?

And they cost as much as FC houses?

Majorly disappointed.

Making prices higher because there is like 4 people on each server on conditions to buy houses. The rest, well, RMT is always an option i guess, SE is literally encouraging us to do RMT lol.

I saved up 20.000.000 on cactuar, i can`t get a personal M house cause i just didnt broke my back hard enough saving money for a house. Because, you know, is personal, so you have to pay the price a whole FC managed, cause its personal, so you are in the very same wards, very same map.

This is lazy development, and SE will not endure this, this is outrageous, is a joke.

This is SE, is anyone honestly surprised they'd screw it up after hunts? "server limitations", what a bogus excuse.

Individuals can purchase land without being in an FC, but they still take away from FC plots. My gripe is that they're resetting the damn prices for it! Just when I had a good plot all figured out in case personal housing went sour, and now the price has jumped up almost double! GRAH! >_<

That's what makes me so unhappy. Some smaller FCs are having enough issues on larger servers getting their plots when new wards open. Plots go in a few hours. Some people come home from work and they're gone.

It's the FC housing drama all over again! Aaahh!

So I guess they weren't being entirely truthful when they said personal housing wouldn't be as pricey as FC housing.

New wards are already a land race for FCs on my server. Both are going to be full in 10 minutes with personal housing sharing that.

I couldn't be more disappointed and depending on how things go, I may be unsubbing for a good long while.

LOL this is bad, so bad... glad I already have my own personal FC house. The flood of rage will rival leviathan.

At least I can get one in Lavender Beds.

With the line in the patch notes mentioning that they will be adding a lot of land for housing in 2.4, I'm hoping that means they will be adding new housing zones specifically designed for player housing at a lower price at that time. This wave of personal housing is just opening up the option, but affordable player housing will be coming later... I hope. I've been saving a while, but 4-5 million gil is a lot of money.

Why didn't they just add all new Personal Wards and make the houses cheaper?? I am really dissapointed...

They'd screw over anyone buying a personal house right now. Don't see it happening.

how on earth were u guys expecting them to make non-instanced personal housing and have it at 850k? If this was the case, a smart group of people could just elect one person to buy the house and then form a LS instead of an FC.

A non instanced part of a game all yours for a few mil? Come on lol that's nothing, and I'm lazy at crafting/making il compared to some.

FC house is more fun people! Personal house is like...yay my own house...now to.....rp al by myself coz ppl are too busy to visit? ( cynical I know...)

...se also have a majjjjjor hard on for gil sinks, as if any1 could not tell...it wouldn't serve their interests for this to be cheap.

This is very disappointing. As others have mentioned, FC's will have to compete with individual players, more so those that are just starting up; players are also going to have to compete against these start-up FC's which would potentially have more contributors to reaching the threshold for purchasing even the worst-graded small houses, assuming there'll even be any up for grabs. Additionally, there's a very limited number of plots on the higher populated servers, too many are going to miss out, both FC's and individual players.

The prices are abominable (even with the incremental devaluing) and the demand is significantly higher than supply.

Okay, this isn't just disappointing. This is outrageously disappointing.

There's no reason why they couldn't make personal housing instanced. There are a million ways they could have instanced it and had the cost be ~850k.

Yes, the price at start hurts, my tiny fc of a few friends were saving for a mansion in limsao....but 80m rip that idea =(

How long has it been since they implemented housing? The devs said that they were working hard to get personal housing ready for patch 2.38. If the only thing they did was add 2 new wards to each residential area, why did it take so long? I'm not complaining about the wait, I'm asking what they actually did with the time.

I was hoping maybe they would add some cool features since only a single player would be able to access the house functions. Maybe have a single minion roam our house, or your retainers could be in your house, or any different kind of functionality at all. They even said we would have to garden in flower pots or something later on.

My last question: Besides having complete control of the garden, is there anything personal housing offers more to a player than a personal FC room does besides more space?

Not even FC housing is non instanced. If it was non instanced, you wouldn't be teleported when walking through the front door.

Wasnt person housing suppossed to come in 3.0 anyway? I dont care about personal housng at all but I.think this is maybe just a test that they are doing and whenever that test ends thats when they'll decide to either keep it the way it is or come out with a completely different things

This may be sort of a preview to personal housing, but they should let that be known instead of enraging all of their players. Either way this isn't new or exciting in the least bit, even for those who can buy them.

It's exactly the backhanded deception they gave us the first time around with the release of FC housing.

I absolutely cannot believe they did the exact same thing again. Not individual instances... not a new instance... not new zones or parts to the current instances... just MORE of the same. And the same bullshit over-inflated prices. What a joke, and it's on us.

I thought personal housing would be separate wards, smaller (medium or small) houses, and affordable to the average player. Wouldn't that have been a better idea? I just can't imagine what SE is thinking right now.

The whole justification for the original FC housing was because "it will be split between it's members".. now the justification for that is because they didn't allot serverspace for it but have zero plans to adjust the pricing. Why not just PULL the housing patch until 2.4 and get the PRICE right ffs.
