agree , SE pls fix it soon as possible.
I think some of these mobs are for rmt purposes, but its still so lame, and kinda ridiculous. Just when you think they're repopping they repop 1-2 every 2 mins or longer :/ and you give up.
I wonder why we can't have places like Qufim Island from XI which was basically a whole zone with mobs designed to grind on. Only occasionally would a single party that was doing really well run out of mobs. Even if they did, they sure wouldn't have to wait 20 minutes for respawns.
Agreed, having to wait for 15-20 mins for a mob to repop is stupid. Even more so now as the method of leveling has shifted from Guildleves to grind parties. Needs to be fixed asap!
They stated that a party fight should last 30-40 seconds depending on gear. So when designing monster spawns they should take the number of enemies in a givin area into account.
"May be a bit too much work to spot check everywhere so a slight global respawn increase would be nice it's simply far too long as is"
But in areas they are custom tailoring for grinds they can use that figure and compile it with the ammount of viable monsters in said area, and extrapolate a fair respawn timer from there.
There are tons of new SP camps, for every Levelrange from 1 to 50. They repop that fast, that you hardly will run out of Mobs. So i really dont get this Topic.
Its in the Game. There were Grindcamps since Release.. and they came more Grindcamps, with a lot more Mobs, with way faster repops along with 1.18. Go and figure... its not SE's fault if people are not able to leave the Towns.
+1 to this.
There have been normal mobs which I've been trying to get to spawn in caves around Halatali for 3 or 4 hours in one session and I only seem to find one or two after killing everything else there constantly.
The mob in question is the Venomtongue Assassin. I have managed to get 1 or 2 to spawn eventually but it just takes way way too long.
This makes things like effervescent water (something which can only be found on these assassin types) far too rare for what it is actually worth.
Edit: Scrap that. Somehow there are millions of these mobs in the places I spent hours in before 1.18. Somehow they're all back again and respawning as normal.
Beastman Camps are obviously marked on the Map. If those are the only Camps you tried, im not surprised that you dont know more. I will tell you a couple... but as i said.. there are TONS of camps now.
Rank 25-30 - Cactuars in Eastern Thanalan ( In a Cave )
Rank 35-40 - Antlions in Eastern Thanalan
Rank 40-43 - Beastman Tribe Broken Water Area.. ( NOT the marked one on the Map, go and explore )
Rank 38-44 - Eft/Anolis Black Shroud
Those camps are giving you 220-340 per Mob, dies in less then 30 Seconds. Do the Math for SP/Hour. I actually know like 20 more of those Camps, just by doing leves and running by them.. tried and see.. "incoming SP". Its all about exploring and finding out yourself. If you want to be feeded with a golden Spoon, dont expect anything... ( most people in this Forum are like that ).
And by the way.. you get a Bonus for 4 Member Parties.. +/- Members will give you less.
Maybe the answer to the OP is a mix of: here are some good spots that do just what you ask for AND let's get SE to make some of these other areas into good party grinds. The first answer helps us today and the second answer helps to create more areas that are party sustainable. Otherwise there are still many areas in the game that are useless for the leveling experience, but with just a few tweaks could be very useful.
Also, does the "dev10xx" tag actually do anything if it is not a real tag?
Your tone is much appreciated!~
Yes, I know of other beastmen 'camps' and have tried SPing on some of them. And in most cases, killing them in 30-60secs results in zero mobs after about 30mins. My point wasnt about the speed of kill and the extrapolated sp/hr it was the fact that MANY of these areas depopulate after a while of killing them as the repop rates cannot keep up. The only way to keep it sustainable is by moving camps every so often, which isnt too bad if they are close. However, and increase in mob repop rate is needed.
And no, I do not want to be 'feeded' with a golden spoon. Just pointing out that your claim isnt completely accurate (Im sure there are some camps that do have decent repop rates, but there are more that do not).
I also love that people cannot see so far past their own noses to realize that the less people understand about this game, the less population that everyone is going to have to play with in the coming months. It's not a moral issue, it's a game.
