The Armoire, King Slime Crown and certain yukatas

Okay So I got the King Slime Crown from this event and I was hoping to store it in the Armoire. But i can't

earlierduring the moonfire event, i got every equippable yukata in the event but the Redfly, Pinkfly and Blufly yukatas likewise cannot be stored.

There is some inconsistently here as the King Slime Crown is bought at an event vender while the yukatas in question are quest rewards yet they both cannot be stored in the Armoire.

I'm wondering why this is the case and if Yoshi has any plans to fix it?

It's been like this for all new event items, you will be able to store them eventually.

I don't really understand the armoire, whats the point of that thing when you can hardly put anything in it?

What they said ^. Probably 2.38 we will be able to store new Yukatas. 2.4 we'll be able to store the new crown. This is just a guess, but going by the past events/patches this is how it usually works.

If you could store everything in the patch it came out, there would be less people wearing the stuff.

It's stupid but it makes a certain degree of sense.

some items have never been made "armoirable" - Usagi Kabuto, Black Usagi Kabuto, Silver Usagi Kabuto, Dream Hat, Dream Tunic, Dream Boots and the 3 Yukatas

This has been a problem ever since the early days of XI. New event items always start out unstorable with *insert event item storage method here*, and then during a later major patch will finally be added. Your guess is as good as mine as to why they do it in such a piss-poor way. Maybe they want to force people to use/keep vanity gear someone went to the trouble of putting in the game before stashing it forever, maybe it's part of some subtle strategy to prod people into utilizing inventory space a certain way. Whatever the reason, it's annoying. It might not even be something that's happening purposefully, and is merely a XI-ism that they've continued out of habit.

the 3 Yukatas (from 2012) are "armoirable"
The other are tradeabe. They were crafted during 1.x

the 3 yukatas from 2014...

ive no idea what 2012 ones there are

It's this. I'm quite sure of it. They want people to wear the stuff instead of just putting it straight into the armoire.

For them you need to wait until 2.4

There's a empty bit of space in the character window just opposite of the Job crystal slot that would work just fine for a Glamour Emitter slot. One could have multiple emitters, each one storing a complete glamour set. Maybe even add an option to save aesthetician options to them. Might make using those appearance items less headache-inducing.

Or I could just be talking out of my arse.

Can ppl here learn the fact that FFXIV is made by a very very small Dev Team so that cant do everything at once -.-

Except these items are a repeat of the same event from 7 months ago, which was several patches ago, so there's really no excuse other than it being such a low priority.

I just went ahead a bought a fourth retainer dedicated to extra glamor and event gear that I couldn't store, because I can't depend on the Armoire (and it's swifter to store and remove items, too).

That small dev team could also program to put the event stuff storeable on the Armoire the day it is there rather than when a new patch is available. Less hassle.

Yeah, they could, it's likely just a simple flag on the item too. But that's the thing, if it really IS that easy, that means they have reasons for not doing it. One possibility has already been said in this thread.

Each time there is a new item, Armoir needs to be patched to accept it. Some take longer than others but generally seasonal gear will be added eventually.

This Event Stuff always use so much inventory Slots up... (really, 3 times the same Item just slighty different coloured)?

Then I am annoyed all the time i cant put it in the Armoire, then when patch hits, i forget i can do this (because, since FC-Housing and personal rooms, who goes to a Inn anyways?)

I´d love to see such an armoire in my personal room or fc house...

I'll reword all for you:

"I found that the King Slime Crown and some yukata (Redfly, Pinkfly and Blufly) cannot be stored into the Armoire. Can you please update Armoire to be able store them (and maybe other ones from events, too)?"

You may wonder, you can say same things without put in all that drama as if your life is endangered by have your precioussss spaces in inventory filled by some stuff.

I may agree the free inventory spaces on some kind or armor, as body pieces, are few (when you are in endgame with ALL jobs done) and does not permit you to keep there so much vanity gearsets to show for fun.

200+ items is hardly nothing. It has more potential storage than a retainer, its just its limited to certain types of items.

And new event items are ALWAYS non stotable until the next major patch.

Cant remember but i think i saw it somewhere at Reddit or a Live Letter
