I just got a friend hooked into FFXIV to play leisurely. My friend loves to collect stuff, whether it's pets, mounts, armor, weapons and what not. A point was put across and it really boggled me. They first asked, "Why is the beastman daily limit only 6?" Of course, I told him so that you can't get max rep in a day if you wanted to. They accepted that answer pretty quickly and asked why is it spread across all factions and I couldn't answer for my life.
So yea, why is the limit for all factions? Wouldn't it be better if it was 6 dailies per faction? You'd still be doing the same effort, contributing the same time and stuff. I just feel bad for the people who'll subscribe 2 years from now and there is what, 20-30 factions and you can only do 6 a day across the board.

Yeah I was hoping they would up the daily limit sometime. After getting late into the game, and also just getting into beast tribes (My first maxed one was the new ixal one) it is going to take me about 3-5 months to get all of the rep up.
And I really want the all rep reward which they just released, I hope they allow a better catch-up mechanic or I will get it sometime around January if I do them everyday at the spread rep method. -

Gotta milk that tiny bit of content released every 4 months for all it's worth. Otherwise people will cry about having nothing to do at all, instead of crying about having nothing to do after 3 hours per week.

I can empathize with you, but think of it from a ton of other peoples' perspectives. We spent months grinding these out, it wouldn't be fair to start giving handouts to people that are just now subbing... even though that does tend to happen anyways (First Coil, blah blah blah).

And it's not really handing out XD they'd have to still do it and put in countless hours. Plus I have no qualms in people getting optional content like dailies/beastmen stuff, end game gear on the other hand is another topic. -

The only reason to do the dailies is to get a vanity pet and mount. They wanted those gated.

Depending on how high they stack them in the future they may want to increase the reward of the lower ones or amount allowed to be taken, but right now they've done their job well (for myself at least). On the days I've been busy I can get them done, chat a little and log out with something accomplished in multiple ways (reputation, tokens, and gil/exp).
The limit is to make them bite sized contents that last a long time. -

The daily limits are there to keep players with limited play time from being left behind (excluded, gap getting too wide) by players with too much play time. It is good thing and reasonable way maintain a sane and balanced player community. If you want unlimited grinding to collect stuff, go do atma/animus/novus. The RNG is best tool for the time unlimited grind.

I'd be happy even if we got as little as three extra BTQ allowances (for a total of 9 dailies), and perhaps a slight buff to reputation rewards for every other faction outside of the Ixali (which, as it is, have the potential to grab 100~ rep points per day even with the fact it takes more levels to max out).
Reminds me I have to focus on getting some of the other tribes levelled. -

Anyway, I feel some of the older factions could use a bit more incentive to run them in this way because of all the attention the Ixal are getting (due to the fact it's an extremely good leveling source for crafters). -

IMO I believe they made these set at 6 to mimic the amount of levequest allowances you get per day. Simple as that. The amount of time it takes to level up was then gated behind that 6 per day limit.
