Daily Hunt FATEs

Is it just me, or are these things worse than the A/S rank hunt mobs?

I sit at the location that they pop crafting, and when it pops I'll give a shout to see if anyone is coming.

However, the last several days both of my daily FATEs get jumped in the first 20 seconds by someone who has been out of sight, and they die faster than an A rank from the time they pop.

Anyone else experiencing this?

They are AWFUL.

Don't bother. You're better off getting 2 A-ranks a day instead. Much less hassle, AND you get myth and soldiery too.

The versions designed for casuals seems to be more hardcore than the hardcore (hunt) content XD. Waiting hours for FATEs, B ranks are not too bad but if many people are looking for them and not shouting, also harder than a monster that dies in a few minutes since a and s give you a little run to time while a b will die too fast for a shout to help unless already near.

Really would like to see the casual ones turned into a leve or something, the hunting part can be real still (easier riddle quest, talking to the hunter scholars for information on the where about in zone).

Dailies are bad Xd. (they're not easier and they're less rewarding /sadpanda)

I stop bothering with the hunt fates, I do them IF I am at the location when it spawns. While for the B rank, I always ask in the shout if somebody needs them, and if they do, I want for them to arrive so we take them down together.

I just teleport in and check for them periodically. If I don't end up seeing it, oh well.

But yes, B ranks would be better. I honestly thought the dailies would be B ranks from the beginning. I don't understand why they would make us kill the other normal enemies. And FATEs were a terrible idea to include.

I honestly think I'll quit this game over side content and vanity being a massive pain more than anything else. Lockouts of Coil and Tomestones? Fine. 0/infinity on Treasure Chest minions, or Elite gear from Allied Seals being priced they way they are? What the f&ck are these developers smoking? I could ignore it when it was Odin and Behemoth being more exclusive than Coil, but it isn't something they're changing, it's just something they continue to throw out time and time again. I half expect them to throw in the original Absolute Virtue fight for us to unlock new hair styles in the future. Perhaps we'll need to down Pandemonium Warden 10 times just to dye one piece of AF2.

I think I did the reworked daily hunts for a day or two... before I realized how stupid it was sitting around waiting for FATEs. If I could chuck one thing out the window in this game, it'd be FATEs. I hate them so much. >_<

Funny. They do have a knack for making things more complicated than they need to be. Turning them into less enjoyable grinds.

However, making casual content that can be soloed very frustrating & difficult for a pittance of rewards compared to easier, less frustrating group content for far greater rewards isn't a SE exclusive. That's common practice in many mmos. A practice supported by many players. So I wasn't surprised to see more of that here.

I guess they are tentative about making rewards from the dailies too lucrative as they want the open world zerg activity to continue.
I've tried both since the recent changes and still don't like either (but would much prefer not to have to deal with the often childish Hunt crowd).
Waiting for FATEs for small reward is a waste of time, and not being in a Hunt linkshell means usually not making it to A/S rank before the radar using zerg decimates them - thanks to the either overt or covert (deliberately standing too close) person that pulls them almost on sight.

I don't camp daily hunt fates now since they're a waste of time. I could get more by joining a dedicated hunt group. Just check the area when you're near them if they're there. If not, move on.

I really don't do the FATE hunts actively as standing around watching the grass blow isn't very fun. I'll camp them on days I do my housework when I can just turn up my speakers while cleaning my house and listening for the FATE music to start.

They need to either remove the fate or make them pop much more often or raise the reward from 10 to 20-30 seals.

This is why i started doing hunts i try waiting but after a hour or sadly 2 your better off killing 2 A ranks

I am doing them mainly on the weekend where I have time and the head for waiting lol. I try to combine the waiting time with crafting but this is by no means enjoyable. Hell, I can do 6 Ixali quests in a bit under an hour, I can do 6 of any other beast tribe quests in 30-40 minutes. But for 20 seals, SE thinks it is a good thing to make players wait 2-3 hours? As a daily?

I just don't get their concept when they design such things and I also even wonder if they TEST what they are about to implement. If they did, I can't imagine that all their testers said "that was a great and enjoyable experience, I had to wait over 2 hours for this rare FATE, it was totally worth it and I feel that I have accomplished something".

I just don't know, did they change quest designers after 2.1? Since 2.2, a lot of what they introduced is way over the top (Desynthesis, AF dying and Choccobo levelling, I look in your way) and quite annoying to me.
