UAT gifting advise

Hey all,

Need some informed opinions here. I got another UAT last night and now I am stuck on who to give it to. Who would benefit from it most DPS wise. I have done NO atma farming and don't really plan to (shame on me). I have three eligible jobs, BLM, DRG, and BRD.

Are there any comparison charts or sheets out there or crafted-theory in which may benefit the most from a Gerolt masterwork weapon? I am leaning towards BLM as that was the first DPS I lvl'd after PLD but DRG is hella fun...see my pickle here?

I was thinking of giving it to my war, but...he is only 41, should be 50 this weekend(i98 once I ding) and would help with threat stuffs.

I don't know, just need to hear some opinion from the masses.

BRD's weapon looks best by far, in my opinion, so that's totally what I'd get. Stats will be outdated with the next patch, looks will stay forever.

I'm going to be a little biased here considering I main a BLM, but ever since I did obtain my i110 UAT weapon I've been in love. My DPS output has skyrocketed and, well, who doesn't love a glowy stick that doesn't require endless amounts of grinding? (Animus/Novus). Not to mention with all of the equipment at BLM's disposal, you can have top acc, crit, and decent spell speed. Determination may be a little lacking, but that's what food is for!

I stand on this decision myself, as the only classes not 50 are WAR and DRG...

A 110 Weapon makes only sense if you encounter Coil2 and EX Modes, besides it´s more of a glamour... so just ask yourself, what class do you use most besides your Main, then got for it..

it really is a question what you prefer, because it is not as intense as Novus, but consider it being 3 Weeks of Soldiery and an Sand of Time, so, not a low price either...

Seems to be just a reaffirmation of what I was already considering.

More UAT's will come, as well as future content to make them obsolete lol. Enjoy it while I can as well.

Honestly, the BLM weapon is crap when you look also at the gear available to them. The Accuracy stats are wasted as they aren't needed (full Weathered gear plus the ST boots get you through T7). I'd go with a different class.

Umm no, Soldiery weapon is really good, and honestly Novus is not leap and bounds better. I know you probably have novus but those of us who have the soldiery weapons and my build of gear i have is perfectly good for my purposes. My crit is over 500 and still do not have all my weathered gear upgraded.
At the end of the day it comes down to the player and their ability to know the class.

The Dragoon weapon Liberator is also very good, don't let those that say it's crap because no accuracy on it fool you,
you can make up for the accuracy with gear.

The Laevateinn is only good because it is a i110 weapon. The secondary stats on it however stink because the +40/44 Accuracy on it is easily obtained through other gear. If it had been Crit like the HA staff (obviously of lower value though) or Det like Animus the weapon would be a lot better.

I choose Bard for my first UAT (main is paladin, actually suffered through to get a max det/par novus sword and working on a max det/par novus shield) mostly because that's the DPS class I'm more than likely going to play the most, even though I kind of have a pro det/anti skill speed bias from playing a PLD. If you play one of your other classes preferentially, and especially if you're still just using the zenith for that class, just get it for that class even if the upgrade's better for a different class. If your choice is between classes you don't play all that often, then you can consider things like which is (strictly speaking) better, or which will be good as a glamour in the future, or whatever. But if you're at that point, another thing to consider is to just bank the UAT on a retainer until the weekly soldiery cap is lifted unless you've really got 1300 soldiery burning a hole in your pocket. Then you could use the UAT to pimp out your retainers gear, or something.

If you love DRG and play it often get sol weapon on it. If you play blm alot but don't love it. Get sol weapon on DRG and start playing on drg. Don't gear up a class you're not going to enjoy playing on, cause of the phrasr "play the class which you enjoy" cause in the end, you pkay this game for fun and entertainment.

Then you just wear some gear that dosent have accuracy on it.

Yes, but by the next patch they will probably be introducing an equivalent item to the UAT that can go up to item level 115. Simply because without such a weapon the only option for people would be the next installment of the Relic Quest (which is way too expensive for most people) or the High Allagan weapons, which is prohibitively difficult for most people to get.
