Where Is Lancer's Accuracy?

You can use other abilities, like Hawkeye, you can max out dex, stack this and that and still miss your weapon skill on an all too common basis. I would love to find out if other lancers are having this problem and or if now what your strategy is. If you don't have this problem can you help by sharing your build. Thank you!

(No I am not a Lancer but I hear this time and time again and see it at LS events.) I would love something to help some of my friends that are lancers.

I thought MRD was worse.

There's still precision and LifeSurge, hawkeye and probably a couple more options not to even mention Acc food but everyone misses.

I'm still sad that Lancer main can't have feint at 250tp.

In NM fight, I usually only miss around 4/100 WS. Maybe trying to increase your DEX? I have a reasonable amount of DEX because I'm also a Goldsmith. HQ weapon also helps, My Banneret Lance has more ACC than Halberd or Champion.

my friend runs a parse for our NM runs and he says everyone is about at 7-9% miss and the mob evades around 10% we just feel the miss real hard since we attack so slow lol.

I don't miss too often; you have to take into consideration stat caps, weapon, and food.

I'm at Rank 26 with 82(85) DEX, and the cap for R26 is 94. Although, I got it to 82 for R22 cap (82), and left it there to focus on some other stats, because there is always Feint and I want a more even build, geared towards the DoW end.

I'm also using an Iron Spear? (or Lance, I can't remember), but that weapon is at cap for me which will also provide the max boost, and the same for my armor, etc.

I also use Grilled Carp, which adds to Accuracy! I still miss, but nowhere near as much as I used to. I think, with this system, it really boils down to getting gear that gives the biggest boost (usually gear at/near your current Rank).

I have heard a few people saying exactly what you're saying. However I just think they're playing it wrong (no offence). I'm a Lancer and "I'm lovin' it" in the words of Mr McDonald. I personally don't have a problem with accuracy and believe I miss just as much as any another class (maybe not pug but come on...). Yes, I do use Hawkeye now for the big weapon skills but I didn't before and it was still reasonable, miss here, miss there, nothing to worry about. :)

There are 5 abilities that alleviate this.

Life Surge (evasion debuff)
Hawk's Eye (for WS's)
Still Precision (at the beggining of battle for faster TP)
Keen Flurry (for WS's in BR)
Feint (100% ACC)

Have a high DEX, 4 ACC rings, ACC food and you will miss a lot less.

Also, if you do the aforementioned and still think you are missing too much, set Absorb EVA on your bar (THM 18)

At 50 Lancer i dont have a problem with Acc, if you have Acc problems then use Acc food and gear. I miss just as much on Archer and i missed quite a lot on Marauder. Like Mika said miss here and miss there. I also know that they improved it somewhat.

I know SE has said Dex = Acc but is that the truth for lancer? Like has anyone parsed it?

Dex is useless for Archer but maybe because rng attack is different?

I only have issues if the mob is much higher than me but my str is in the 170's.

All i know is that i don't miss more on Lancer than i do on any other job around the same prob, and i use a variety of Str and Dex gear.

Even when using acc/dex gear and a high acc lance WITH food I miss like a tard on lowish mobs. This is something that really needs to be fixed, sometimes it gets you killed because you miss 5+ times in a row and can't get any TP.

I dont have any probs so i dont know, maybe it has something to do with my high Physical level. I have just been doing leves on Archer and i missed more on that.

Are you soloing mostly on Lancer? if you are then it would prob become more noticable than if you where in a party. I duoed my Lnc to 50 with a conjurer so i always help if i was going to hit the deck, but it was bad if i ever tried to solo and i did notice it more then.

If you're soloing you'd be fighting weaker mobs, meaning you wouldn't need as much accuracy yet myself and the people I play with still have huge accuracy issues and it's not because of gear. We use accuracy gear and good acc weapons and depending on the mob, acc food. It doesn't seem to have any real impact at all.

get ur eyes checked! lol my dex is only at 100 but with food and some ability i dont have any problem landing BR on NM's

Couple of things to try?:

Food:Adjust your lightning to within the range of the acc food you're using (as per previously linked chart) to get a slightly higher boost.

Weapon:Are you moving as you fight the mob? I have noticed that attacking from the sides/back and from a longer distance increases my accuracy.

Gear:Only suggestion here is optimal rank. I'm not suggesting you are a culprit, but I have seen people who run around in R45 gear at R20 and ask people why their stats/def/etc suck.

LNC50 here. I recommend Life Surge stacked with Still Precision and a good dollop of DEX (dont forget the DEX+ abilities from DoM guildmarks!), and anything that grants ACC+ for weaponskills, like Hawk's Eye, Rings, etc. Additionally, I find the High-ACC weapons far better for soloing. Save Lances for NMs, events, and parties. A common mistake Lancers make is going for the high-damage weapons too early on.

No one has said this yet... i'm also a r50 lancer and i use the absorb spells from THM class rank 18 spells... absorb ACC,EVA,ATK, and DEF is amazing. and i have starting mage stats and these land around 95% of the time even on NM's. Also absorb evasion stacks with life surge! there you go.

The ACC doesn't really bother me on Lancer, i'm currently ranked 40, and my stats are based on half DEX and STR. I find myself doing more Crit Damage than my 50 Archer, I begin with Speed Surge and Invigorate and switch to Life Surge before Weapon Skill I don't use Hawk's Eye and rarely miss with my Weapon Skill although I imagine that will change when it comes to NMs, but then again i rather fight NMs with my Archer.

You can also use an ability to boost acc during a battle regiment. I usually do that *keen flurry?* along with hawk eyes, raging strike, and ferocity. By that time the mages would have spells up and DD's starting to stack ws for regiment of doom? *the big damage one* I rarely miss when all 4 buffs are up.

I've wondered this too, granted speed/life surge and feint help, but doesn't justify why I miss with a light thrust 2~5 times for every hit, even when I'm using a spear that is within my optimal rank, and against an even match enemy.

when i WS i do this . Ferocity 2 , Rageing Strike , then i get behind my tank and i use Colusion then i use Doomspike 2 usualy or ill use moonrise 2 . Or another WS depends on situation. And it adds str and a little acc to my WS and i only miss maybe 3/10 times. ( i dont have twisting vice or chaos thrust so i havent tested it with ferocity 2 and rangeing strike combo ) I allways have life surge up.

Other then that i like Lancer only other class i like other then lancer would be Archer because multi shot is freaking godly.

On NMs: My DEX is around 114 -122, STR is around 126-132

Main Skills: Hawk's Eye, Still Precision II, Keen Flurry.

My WS miss rate is about 2/10, Normal Attack miss rate is about 3/10.

My ACC is not a problem at 50, i think the most trouble i had was around rank 30-42, mostly because i sometimes forget to activate Life Surge(Increased Duration, Can I Have It!?).

How do you know what food adds to acc? Did they finally add an indicator in game?
