Question to Yoshida Re: Dissidia

So, I have a question for Yoshida. I know it's not the usual Q&A about Final Fantasy XIV: ARR, but it's something that I've been thinking about since I'm playing Dissidia.

If a new Dissidia Final Fantasy game were to be released tomorrow, which XIV character would be on the side of Cosmos, and which would be on the side of Chaos?

Just conjecture but Gaius or Nero would be Chaos, and probably Yda, Y'shtola, or Thancred for Cosmos. Y'shtola's already the "crossover mascot" thanks to Theatrhythm, but since both of FFXI's Cosmos representatives veer on the goofy side, Yda isn't too far fetched a guess. Yda and Papalymo together would be awesome :P

Given that Dissidia already has MNK and BLM from XI, I wouldn't put my hopes on Yda/Papalymo appearing on Comsos's side. Thancred, however...I can already see him trying to, well, do what he does, and I can see his combat style fitting in well with Dissidia's gameplay.

As for Chaos...Nael wouldn't be a bad fit either - plus, we already have what could be his EX mode (not going any further than that because potential spoilers that I'm not sure if some people care about).

why not yugiri? and for the bad side i dunno, since we are soon starting a new arc with the 3.0 and actually we don't have really a main bad guys.
ascien are messing around that for sure, nero was taken in ST, but that not a main baddies.... no one come out as the main one.

Well, considering the previous Disisidas had two characters from FFXI on Cosmos's side (Shantotto and Prishe) and no characters on Chaos's side (although I heard a rumour that Kaml'anaut had been considered but was scrapped early on), it's probable therefore that a hypothetical third Disiddia which includes a character and stage from FFXIV would probably just have a character on Chaos's team.

And who better than Nael van Darnus - SE could even have the Rivenroad as his stage complete with giant Dalamud in the background and it's Omega form having flaming meteors rain down from it. And of course music would include Tempest and Rise of the White Raven. ;)

The only issue with using Nael though is that he looks too much like an existing Dissidia character (Gabranth from FFXII), so I guess then it's possible another character could be called up for Chaos's duty... hmmm.. Gaius van Baelsar? That could work, with the bottom of the Praetorium as his stage, with the Ultima Weapon in the background (and the 'Omega' version of the stage as the Praetorium following Lahabrea's casting of Ultima wreaked the place). And music would be Ultima, Steel Reason and Bite of the Black Wolf.

Please, please SE, this needs to be done! The only reference to FFXIV in Dissidia was FFXIV racial portraits could be bought in the PP Shop. FFXIV must have it's time in the Dissidia sun! :3

Derplander for Cosmos! Lahabrea for Chaos

I'd say Thancred for Cosmos and Lahabrea fits in better with Chaos.

How would Y'shtola be useful? Lol, she's a CNJ/WHM right? Stone and Aero and Holy them all day? It's too fast past for healers like that. O:
I'd like her as a support thing, and I actually DO like Derplander as a playable character honestly.
We need a bow character...

Also for bow charaters there is that Mi'quote bard seen in the trailers and End of an Era.

Thancred and Lahabrea would probably make the most sense. If we follow the reason they picked Jecht to represent FFX, those two do have a bit of a connection.

Minfilia could be an interesting one. She calls her opponent on a linkpearl and then throws an adventurer at them. I suppose half of that is like Yuna though.

Derplander can still take advantage of the Armoury System. Something like how Vaan changes weapons but Derp will be changing jobs instead, hence weapons and artifact gear
