Stat to increase damage on elemental attacks such as Luminous Spire

Hey, I had long wondered if anyone had figured this out but couldn't find any information on it. Is it currently known which stat modifier boosts damage on Gladiator elemental attacks, such as Red Lotus and Luminous Spire? I'm assuming Intelligence has something to do with it, or is it purely based on Strength?

If you're looking for a damage increase I'd just stat into DEX and STR, in the long run it's prolly better to do more white damage than the occasional WS damage increase, esp if that means gimping other stats by going into INT/PIE or w/e the modifiers may be.

I honestly was just curious if anyone knew which modifier those types of skills took their damage from. Gonna guess it's still a big question mark at this point and nobody (save the devs) really knows, but thanks for your responses.

How does this answer the OP's question at all. I wasn't aware of him asking which stats he should raise.


OP: I never checked into it too deeply, I didn't notice a huge difference with PIE, though I never got it over 70 when I was 'testing'. I've been really wondering this as well.

I think once stats are fixed to work properly in 1.19 it'll be a lot easier to test which stats are modifiers for which weapon skills. I may be lazy but I'll wait till then to do any testing/experimenting. Testing as of now may just be a waste of time if things are "fixed" and/or changed.

Where did u see that they will? This would be awesome if its true! :)

I would assume don't skimp too much on int, and look for weapons/armor that offer increased magic potency. It's usually a hidden trait on DoW weapons, so you'll have to experiment to find out.

To try to answer the question, if its physical damage str will modify the damage and dex wil modify its accuracy, if its magic damage, its intelligence to modify the damage and piety to modify the accuracy.

Except that on mages, INT only increases dart damage at the moment. As such, I wouldn't expect INT to raise the damage on any GLA abilities at all.

this is true, and well known, but i did neglect to mention it. Goes back to the whole stats are broken issue. I can tell you that archers can see a difference in str. I have only played thm/con/arc very far past 20. Any comments I am making here,are based on "how things are supposed to be" and not from my own test.
