Ixal Beast tribe buff working as intended?

So when doing the Ixal Beast tribe quests you get a buff while crafting. This buff lowers the amount of CP you have. At the Fallgourd Float location you are brought down to 99 cp. During the first tier of quests this isn't a problem. But now I am on the fourth tier and again I have to use the "crafting facility" in this location. Getting the HQ I need has basically come down to pure luck. 99cp just isn't enough.

I was wondering if this is supposed to be this way because the facility in Coerthas let's you have 199 cp during the tier 3 quests.

I don't ever really craft so this is all really new to me. I only leveled my culinary class through leve turn ins.

There are different buffs, some lower your CP by 50, 100, or by half, others don't lower it at all.

The buff you get is different depending on your quest. Some lower CP, some don't.

It's annoying when I'm level 50 on all crafters and get lowered, I thought it was supposed to lower the recipe to the persons level.

What is this you speak of crafting and beastmen... Explain. I only completed the one tribe in Outer. Some beast tribe quests involve crafting?

The new tribe is crafter based. There is some fighting but only your crafter can claim the xp and reward.

I understand that but should it be the same buff for the tier four quests and tier one? Maybe because it's using the same facility it's giving the wrong buff. 99 cp just seems so low for what they are asking. I can barely get past 30% hq without getting lucky and having excellent status.

Use better gear? Or try to level up more.

This is just a guess based on CP values found on lodestone for lv 38 and lv 50 crafter.

Since your highest appears to be 38 this is how the scenario currently works

LV 38, Base CP 278

75% 50% -100 -150 -50

LV 50, Base CP 324

75% 50% -100 -150 -50
243/162/224/178/274

The amount of CP you'll have access to at your current level will be lower than what one will have at 50 and cause of this it will make it tricker. So you could do like others have said and lv up or maybe gear up more since you might have less than 278 CP

Yeah, I'm not actually sure what that buff is supposed to do. I've been doing the quests with my CUL (started at 38 I think, 42 or nearly there by now) and it hasn't been a problem, but if the quality requirements get high it might be (but I'll just use a level 50 to craft with). I think it says that it brings the recipe down to your level, but all the recipes are very, very low level to begin with....

You'll want better gear or a better rotation then. You can still easily get 100% HQ on every item at the 4th tier. If you're still having trouble, remember Byregot's, Careful Synth 2, Waste Not and Steady Hand. They should make pretty much anything trivial.

Wat he said. It is really easy crafting this stuff unless ofcourse you start doing these quests with only level 1 crafters. Even the current tier of crafts only require 1x increase of quality to get to 100% (after applying some buffs) and 2x increase of progress, What I do i use my level 50 goldsmith to make the items and use my low level culinarian to turn in the quests for the exp.

This is news for me. Might be interesting to note. Majority of my DoH already near fully melded with i70s though, so I don't have this problem yet. Maybe on the 5th quest tier I might actually start seeing this problem... :?

I think the buff works like a level-sync for crafters (without touching the skills).

Hmm what I found on my lvl27 wvr/bsm(and the only other classes I have is 50 ltw/cpt) is that they designed the crafts around some very basic and specific rotations. Once you figure those out for that specific item it's always the same. It's mostly figuring out those rotations that cases some grief at start.

Example when I first wanted I went my usual rotation for hq and wow out of CP instantly... ok... let's adjust... now I mostly just go steady hands(and waste not if I have CP to spare) then basic/standard touches until full and usually need one or two careful synths or basic synths to finish it off. In some cases I will use steady hand+waste not and it will be mostly the same.

It took me quite a few tries to figure it out on the trusted level crafts. But now that I have them it's easy to do.

im curious if you can manipulate the system. bring the lower level crafts to a higher level faciliy.

The facilities give unique buffs that are required by the recipe so it isn't possible.

Yeah, it sounds like it works the way Ingenuity used to, where if the the recipe level is lower than your level it'd actually raise the recipe level on you.

I think it's a nice touch, stuff like level-syncing makes it feel like serious content rather than just an afterthought and as someone who mains crafter I love that we've now got a quest line outside our class quests.

Yes you can - as the timer is 4 minutes I always manage to complete multiply crafts and run back to tribe camp while buffs are still up and I do have multiply buffs up at the same time.

I'm personally enjoying the ixal quests since they utilize crafting, gathering and battle classes. Just a little trick i do is i grab all the mats and facility access then cancel all but the longest buff, and proceed to speed craft. The 4-5 minutes they give you plus the fact that not all of them drop your cp is nice.
