Version Update failed?

I get an error:
11000 Version Updated Failed.(3:40009, 20013, 20003)

My current version is:
Boot Version: 2010.09.18.0000

Anyone know what's wrong I've played since 1.18 this just happened yesterday and I can't get past the version check.

What's your game.ver?

I'm updated to 1.18

That's the patch.ver not the game.ver :P

Well that's as far as I get.

game.ver is a file in the directory where you installed ffxiv.

2011.07.20.0000

I've got exactly the same error & version. I only formatted a few days ago, too, and the game was working perfectly until the latest mini-update.

For me it's 2011.07.26.0000 and everything works fine. You're game.ver is probably write-protected and wasn't updated(known issue). In that case you can remove the write-protection and manually put that version info into the file.

If strange things happen (like invisible objects or random crashes) there was other files affected by this bug and the game needs to be installed again.
