Awesome, thanks for the link! :)
Looks a lot flashier than any other class
Why can't Aetherial Manipulation work like that teleport. :'(
wow I might actually give ninja a try.
Looks interesting, Ninja was the 1st and only melee job i Actually liked in 11, it's no surprise i'd be interested in this one.
But givin this is the only new job coming, i am quite looking forward to the massive amount of ninjas that will be leveling...
So, ninja DOES have combos. And judging by the presses seen at 0:21- the mudras are instant, off global cooldown and use a trigger ability to end the chain.
Once the trigger ability is used, that and all the mudras go on cooldown
wow. that looks really cool. thank you for sharing the video!
final job in 2.x, yes.
it's already been confirmed there will be multiple new jobs in expansion, though; Gun class, tank, healer. They just haven't announced what the jobs will be.
they are gonna talk more about expansion, on fanfest...maybe we'll know what jobs it will be then.
uhm, and at the end, you can use several different attacks with them, that would normally take up more than 3 job-skill-slots. If it's in any other way, ninja may have 5 other job skills + all mudra combinations...that's a lot more than what any other job could get.
Not exactly. All mudra combos dont have to use all 3. As such, getting one every 5 levels makes sense. You hit 30, get 1 mudra, and are able to do the 1- mudra move. The giant water spout used 3 mudras while the (uchiha) fireball spit took just 2. The activator does seem useless without mudras so its probably obtained with the first mudra.
Looking real sharp... gonna be interestign to see what I can do with macros regarding the chained skill useage...
Im curious about two thingss. First it looks like they have an elusive jump like ability (used before casting the fireball) and second what race is that? If elezen then I'll be really happy
That's not how version numbering works. The number on the left is a major version, the number on the right is a minor. Expansions are large updates to the game, which causes the left to increment. Patches are smaller updates, which increments the right.
The version after 2.9 (if it went that far) would be 1.10, then 1.11 etc, not 3.0.
Hehehe they named the iron giant dummy Kakashi
i found the animation more fluid and nice than the other one.
It was announced in a interview that 2.3 is the Mid-point of 2.X content so...
2.0 (release) -> 2.1 -> 2.2 -> 2.3 (midpoint) -> 2.4 -> 2.5 -> 3.0 (1st expansion)
and not to mention Yoshi-P said 1st expansion is originally planned to be released within 2 years since 2.0 release which we are getting very close to that time point.
2.4 is the last major patch before the expansion if I recall correctly. Yoshida said the expansion would be coming sooner than what many might expect.
On topic though, Ninja looks so badass. I love the amount of detail they put into the animations. It really moves the way I pictured Ninja should.
I remember the days when the SMN was implemented. It was a carby fest. I can expect the same now.

I know of some FC mates that will be really happy to see this. As for me, I'll probably level it up because of my completist nature. I'm still waiting for the dark knight. :(
Is it me or do those animations look much smoother than what we have currently.
I wonder what would be better for the Ninja in terms of a Novus weapon. Skillspeed + Determination or Critical Hit + Determination...
For the record, as long as the target is stationary and you don't have Full Thrust, which is the third attack in the standard chain (which you don't get until level 26(!)), Impulse Drive remains the highest DPS move available to lancers in group PvE. After that, it then becomes useless until you get Disembowel at level 38.
They will make "adjustments" to all jobs when 3.0 comes. My guess is they will throw in some flashyness for all jobs too. If not, they again have poor vision (just like when they did not see how hunts would be a mess) since people would want to play the new tank/healer/dps jobs only.
eh, we just made it to the 1yr mark :) there's still 1 year to the 2yr mark..that's not very close ^^
also...they postponed content, and patches, so just cause they planned to release expansion within 2 years, doesn't mean they'll make the deadline.
but from the looks of it, it will be around spring next year, i guess.
Way more movement than there needs to be. Can tell they put more effort into ninja than the other classes that barely moves at all.
This looks super, super cool. thanks for sharing!
So much jumping around. I foresee a lot of lolNIN flames when all the newborn NIN discover the woes of DRGs for the past year - that the game doesn't update your position to avoid AoEs until you land, meaning you're going to get hit a LOT by AoEs until you learn it's faster to run out of them than to jump and wait a half-second for the ping update.
That said, the chains look very fluid and flashy. Definitely tempting to try out :)
