What is chocobo for?

we know chocobo is coming in 1.19

what do u guys want from chocobo other than riding on it.

i want chocobo to carry my items, able to equip gears on it and chocobo race!

I think the old team originally intended for chocobo's to do all that. But as of right now I believe they are just going to be rental mounts.

What is a "Chocobo", unless you are referring to a "Horsebird".

ya would expect much from Chocobos at this time, just be happy you will have a Bird to ride on finally.

I just want to ride them. I want more than rentable chocobos though. I want a mount i can have with me all the time like every other MMO on the market and with no silly time restrictions.

And as to the original question I assume only mounts initially but by the sound of it, more content will be released later for different things as stated in a dev post

Indeed i do believe they said they are just implemented them as mounts at the start in another thread, as well as laying out some additional information about other proposed features regarding chocobos in the future, also asking for our ideas and suggestions, i'll have a look for the thread.

I do believe I read recently in one off the Dev tracker posts that we will be getting personal chocobo's to call on the field in patch 1.19
