The most common name in Eorzea

in my server, there is no doubt the most common name that i usually see is 'Kitty'.. there are so many players with 'Kitty' names..

for example

Pretty Kitty
Kitty Meowmeows
Kitty Wonderwats

Cloud Strife
Sephiroth Strife
Sephiroth Ziegelwange

Xsephirothx Xhighwind

because Sephiroth Highwind was clearly taken and everyone has to be a unique little snowflake.

Highwinds, Sephiroths, Strifes, Lockharts... Originality's hard to find at times. (no offense to anyone using names like these btw, I just find it a bit eh to not think up your own completely original name, hard as it may be)

Nunh and Tia is the only lore friendly surname a keeper of sun Male Miqo'te can have so those are probably the most common male name in Eorzea, as all those npcs will have those names :)

Strife and Dragneel

The word "Rose" seems to be overused too. So many roses in this game...

Lockhart, Highwind, Stark, Strife.

One of these is not like the other, one of these doesn't belong!

I've seen tons of "Lannister"

There seems to be a lot of diversity on Hyperion(maybe since it's a legacy server), but I guess I see a lot of Strifes, which is odd to me because I can't understand why anyone would want to be linked to a wimpy character, but to each their own.

Oddly enough this one is actually lore accurate for Midlander Hyur according to official naming conventions, go figure

I do, however see a cubic shit-ton of Kain Highwind (or any other variable for the same name), quite a few Farron's too, which surprises me cuz supposedly EVERYONE hates Lightning.

Geez, after checking my name in the Lodestone, I'm starting to want a more obscure last name for my character.

Highwind, i am also starting to see quite a few dragonbornes..

Any variation of FF7s names have been grossly overcommon since the dawn of MMOs past FF7. Some people are so desperate they will use obvious mispelling of the names like "cloud srife clod strife cloud striffffe" i mean come on..i even saw a cloud Sephiroth.

But yea, for me highwind seems to be what i am seeing the most other then those.

Lots of Kirito, Asunas, Strifes, Lannisters etc.

I've seen a lot of Phoenix's on my server!
as well as highwind, and way too many anime character names.

I see alot of Pendragons...

We've had quite a few Uchihas in our ls/fc.

Every variation and combination imaginable of FF7 names lol. Been seeing lots of "Fluffytail" around recently too.
Also lalafell as yummy food names HMMMM.

Lore not bad. But, when you are Tony Stark, Anthony Stark, and anything else similar, and color your tank gear red and yellow....

Anything from a FF game, Drizzt whatever combo, Dragonlance, Naruto (and guess what common name will be used for any new ninja created?). Just a lot of bad overused names out there. And Link. So many Link named PLDs with a certain likeness....

Can you really blame people who name their characters after FF people? I would think they'd at least *try* to find a less common name, but still...

The Taru family is a strong one on Ragnarok.

I see hundreds of people with names straight from Fairy Tail on Zodiark. It frustrates me.

Guilty as charged! I used Reis Duelar in 1.0 and when I imported her in, changed it to Reis Cadmus. I figured FFT fans would get it and otherwise wouldn't be the most common thing in the world.

Still... I must applaud the two people I've seen on various servers that chose Daryl Gabbiani and Rachel Cole. Can't be an FF game without getting kicked in the feels.

All the Anime/Final Fantasy names....Atleast try to think of something ! Wont suprise me that some name there child Kirito or Asuna.....

Luna, easily the most common name on my server. My last FC had 4 Lunas in it.
