[suggestion] Click to Move Feature

I really dont know if someone has already suggested this if so, im sorry to post this again if not then this is my suggestion:

I was thinking that this game should have a "click to move" option, many others MMO games have it, this option lets the player move his/her character to any spot in the field by simply clicking or right clicking (player preference) on the terrain of the spot they want to move. to use this option the player can enable it in the system configuration settings in the "mouse settings" or "accesibility" category. I tought of leaving this suggestions because I use this feature a lot in different MMO because i have a physical disability (i have limited movement in my hands) and to me is easier to move my character by clicking instead of pressing buttons.

Hello everyone, I returned to the game after the release of stormblood I really like the story so far, and I want to keep playing but the new duties have a lot mechanics and is getting difficult to keep up specially avoiding the AoEs, is very discouraging that people are being mean to me or receiving a lot of insults because I can't avoid the attacks on time and keep dying, i try to ignore those type of comments but sometimes it just too much that I end up abandoning the duty and closing the game. I really like this game and want to keep playing so I'm hoping that the developers read this and add the "click to move" feature to the game I'm sure that it will help players like myself.

Please everyone comment on this thread or share it, so it can reach the developers

To be honest when im doing a dungeon my character dies many times because i can't press the buttons quick enough to dodge the enemy attacks and its really frustrating because im letting the team fail because of me. Also my teammates complaints that i should hurry up or they'll leave me behind but im really doing the best i can to play equally as the other players.

Sometimes when im tired I use the virtual keyboard to move my character by clicking the arrows but this is not an efficient way to move because i need to focus my eyes in the virtual keyboard to view where the pointer is clicking instead of watching the fight resulting of me dying.


In conclusion I really believe that this feature will help other players like me to enjoy the game much better.

you may actually want to look into trying out a PS3 controller. I haven't actually used one to play myself, but the easy movement of the joystick might be very helpful for your condition.

i tried is true easy movement with the joystick but then i can't use the attacks because to me is difficult to press R1/R2 & L1/L2 -_-, i prefer the keyboard at least i can click the macro i did for the attacks

in the new dungeons there's a lot of mechanics so we need to avoid a lot of AoE is getting difficult for me to avoid all of them. is frustrating to die all the time and some people complain to me because of this.

I think there is an option in settings to click to move. I found it stumbling around. :c

I think this is a good idea. I also have issues with dodging, a lot of it is like you I can't click buttons fast enough, or I hit the wrong key on the keyboard.

I think Rawrz is mistaken. I have searched everywhere and haven't found the option. I'd love to have it, though... :/

There is no such option.

Did you realize you can start moving if you press both left and right mouse button?
Maybe set a "move backward" on another mousekey or so.

It's not what you asked for, but maybe it can easy the pain unitl they implement something like click-to-move?

Wouldn't use it myself, but I'd like to see the option added for people like OP. It's a common movement option that I'm kind of surprised wasn't already in the game.

yeah I was surprised too, I searched through all the settings and couldn't find it and like you said it's a common movement option
