Queues have all but died since this has been put in, and it does nothing. Every game I am forced to wait in a queue for a ridiculous amount of time, and every game I am put with low ranking people anyway. The only thing the rank matching is doing is killing queue times for higher ranks; it isn't balancing teams.
Remove it please.

Although I'd love this as well, the only problem I potentially see with it are high ranked players getting constantly queued against low ranked and inexperienced players, and completely demolishing them over and over. The priority is given to low ranked players to go against low ranked players for fair fights first, and then when there are none, high ranked players are finally allowed to join. I honestly do hate the wait time as well though, and I think this problem would be fixed by simply adding more incentive (such as rankings, rating, and rewards) for people to queue Wolves' Den. Inexperienced players would go against similar people, and highly experienced players would go against others because there is a reason to queue again and everyone is happy. No competition = no participation.

08-11-2014, 01:20 PMGorthis happens anyway. i can recall several matches where i'm queued for non-50s wolves den i'm r40 and get grouped with players who I see in gray quest or 50 job gear and their first wolves den match achievement. i get low rank/inexperienced under-geared scrubs and when the gate opens i see full high-allaghan players who i know at least 3 or all 4 are r38+ and my team just literally gets 2-3 shotted and theres nothing i can do about it because my team are noobies. or when i queue for 50s and i get all low rank, pve-geared players and then get put against a full r40 team in full pvp 100 gear. also vice versa, i got grouped with a full rank 40 team and i felt sorry for their team cuz we hulk smashed them; it was no competition at all. so ya, this happens anyway so may as well reduce the queue times by removing the match-making.Quote:

I'm not even a high level and my queue times for Wolves' Den is horrendous. The matches are short most of the time especially if I'm going to get curbstomped at r24 but compared to FL where I don't need to worry about a withdrawal, I don't queue for Wolves' Den. Sure matches will take 20min or so but I've spent over 1hr in queue in Wolves' Den.
And I still get curbstomped even if the rank matching is supposed to help against that.
I'd rather have 50 curbstomps with 5 min queues over 10 wins that took me 1hr queue each :c -

We are asking Se to remove this restriction since they add it... We lost almost every real pvp player because there is no way to pvp when you are high rank actually.. and Here we are after almost 6 months, this restriction is still here... EVEN WITH i80 SYNCH AVAILABLE.
SE is only listening to japoanese servers anyway :(

The Wolves Den has a ilvl 80 mode as well now.
To unlock it, you need to talk to the NPC near the merchants (the one who unlocked the 3 other modes).

I think that this really needs a lot more attention than it's getting.
While i realize that frontlines is popular, there is still enough of a player base that does WD. The way matchmaking works now is debilitating, and as such any interest in it has to be dwindling to sparse amounts.
I have been waiting in queue as as r40 for 78 mins now. It has been four times i've accepted queue, gotten to 7/8, had the last person not accept, and been placed right back to the start. So, not only is matching up against anyone already difficult, the system kicks me all the way back and makes me start over again.
It's just not right. Players want to play this game but it is like the system is going out of its way to screw us, a common description of the game in 1.0. These queues completely disrupt an important facet of the game. It is too hard to attract new players when they can't actually play, and if experienced players like myself can't do this either, then what is the point of logging in? -

Yeah, even just trying to complete the challenge log for 10 matches can take 3-4 hours of queuing. Which is ridiculous and inefficient.

Yeah certainly. The more noise we make on the whole the better the chances. If someone wants to really push it they could also translate some of these posts and put them into the JP PVP section. From what i know, pvp and den is far more popular on JP servers than it is here, so i think it's reasonable to assume that they have more attention paid to them on those forums.
When yoshida came to fix the game there was an immense amount of transparency and communication throughout the game, but these matchmaking issues with den are so backbreaking, it just seems like nobody's paying attention. How much can they really care if an issue this critical goes on completely ignored and unaddressed? I know that what we have is a niche community, but it's quite sad to think about all the same.
If we want this to change we have to really get on it together. -

Their players mainly interesting with Frontline now. Unless you can force our people to start posting on one discussion thread like they did, it is going to be difficult to get their attention. Total amount of 286,075 views, this is how you get devs to pay attention, not some weired thread title.
