Obligatory Hyperion Thread

So, who's going from Hyperion? :) I will be attending along with six other FC members. I was thinking we could have some sort of 'unofficial' Hyperion meetup. It's too bad the badges will only display our data center (Primal) instead of our server, as that would make it easier to 'spot' people.

If you bought tickets in the first round they didn’t give us the option but you can go back into the Eventbrite site and update this information.

1. Log into your Eventbrite Account, click on your name and then go to My Tickets

2. Go to the ticket event and click “View Order”

3. Go to the ticket you want to edit and click the “Edit” button off to the right side.

4. Click on your Data Center and select a different Center. Go back and re-select your correct Data Center and it will prompt the World Server choices.

5. Make any changes you need and before you hit “Save” check off the box that says “Send confirmation email to new attendee” under the email address

6. Click “Save” to save your information and it will email you the updated ticket. If you dont check off “Send confirmation email to new attendee” it wont send you the updated ticket.

I will be going to the Vegas Fest with 5 others from Hyperion. Got a room at the Rio and so far 2 (maybe 3) of us will be cosplaying. :cool:

I will be attending FFXIV Fanfest in Las Vegas, I'm Zavier Mhigo from Hyperion.

I can't wait. I live in Reno, NV right now (graduated college here), and am moving back to Las Vegas in a week (family lives there, raised there), for law school, so I was really pumped for no traveling fees :3

From Hyperion and attending with my fiance. If a meetup time/place is setup we may stop by.

I'd be happy to figure out a 'meeting place' as the event gets closer. I have no idea what the venue is like so the location will probably be decided on once we all get a look at the size of the place, and available hangout spots.

We've looked a bit into possible meeting places, and we thought the Spanish Steps at Caesar's Palace might be a good place for those 21 and over (I hate to exclude the younger people, but having lived in Vegas until I went to college, I realized there aren't many places to meet on the Strip that AREN'T bars). I'm sure a meeting place will be decided later for those interested, but I thought I'd just throw it out there as an option

Also, we would totally be down for a Hyperion hotel room party, just sayin'.

12 people from my LS, Code of Honor, will be attending Vegas Fan Fest!

Myself and eight of my LS mates will be there. We actually rented a house a mile or two off the strip instead of booking a bunch of hotel rooms, so we aren't going to be in that area around the clock, but as long as the meet isn't some ridiculous time late at night I don't see why we couldn't stop by.

My husband and I will be there, among our FC and LS pals. :D

I am unfamiliar with the Rio layout since I typically goes else where in Vegas but google maps has a nice layout:

(I’m guessing FFXIV will be taking up the back in the Pavilion and/or Amazon Rooms.)

It looks like Hyperion has a pretty good chunk of people going so staying close or within Rio might be best for a meet up? Perhaps meet up after the Fair hours?

Maybe the Masquerade Bar? They’re open 24hrs according to google. There is also TGIF across the street.

I'll be there from Hyperion along with 3 of my FC mates! We should do a Saturday night Hyperion dance party probably, right? We're all staying at the Rio too!

Hubby and I are going and l know at least 5-6 of our FC mates will be there. Looking forward to it.

Seyo, are you the same Seyo Meyo that used to be on Massamune with DW? I had an alt in that LS in 1.0, good times. I've seen you on Hyperion...not a stalker....much. ;)

Hi guys, sorry I've been neglecting to reply on the thread... I've been busy with my costume! :P

I've literally never been to Las Vegas so... I think it would be safe to defer to people who actually know the area. I'm liking Kirito's idea. If we find that the fan fest has more open space than we anticipated, we could always find a meeting place at the fan fest itself... but if not, we can meet at the Spanish Steps?

Hey all, checking in again to see what other people's thoughts might be on meeting up.

My friend and I were thinking of meeting before the main events on that Saturday, so maybe Friday night/Saturday morning? This way, we can get to know each other beforehand and group up for the event.

If we can't/don't want to meet at the Spanish Steps, maybe meet outside the event before it starts Saturday morning? I don't know when everyone else gets in, but we get into Vegas Friday afternoon, so we'd be available from then on. And if anyone wants to swap contact info to make a meet-up easier, just let me know.

I will be arriving Friday afternoon... and will be picking up my tickets then, but likely won't bother putting my costume on until Saturday. We could perhaps do a meet-and-greet Hyperion dinner (maybe) on Friday night? If people are up for it? Could be fun...

OH, and it would give us a chance to form premade 8-man groups for the activities (extreme roulette anyone?). ;P How cool would it be to win shirts with an all-Hyperion group?

Hyperion here! I'd love to meet some people from Hyperion, if you're all doing a meetup. Feel free to come say hi if you see me either on the floor or at the meet up, or even in-game! Keep us posted on a meetup, I'm flying in on Friday should be there just after lunchtime.

I'm down for a Hyperion dinner. One thing to keep in mind is that, at least at the hotels on the Strip, food can get kind of expensive; ultimately, it depends on what we'd want, really.

It might be worth looking into going to a buffet, since last I knew they had open seating and, obviously, tons of food. The only problem there is that even that can get a bit pricey (last I knew, the Rio had one for $25 a person).

I'll do a bit more research and see what I can find. Don't be afraid to do your own though. There's a lot of places to eat on the Strip, and I'd love to try some new ones (within budget, of course haha).

If all else fails, In-N-Out's not far away, and that's always good haha

I would definitely be interested in that. I work tomorrow through Thursday from 9-7 AZ time, but I would definitely be somewhat active in an LS after I get home around 7:30-8. I'll keep an eye on the thread like I have been in case someone decides to make one.

YAY FANFEST

Anything set for the meetup yet? I won't be staying at the hotel since I live in North las vegas and no I have no clue where to go on the strip since its mostly just a headache to get down there half the time.

My wife and I will be attending, in cosplay. It's not nearly to the awesomeness level from what I've seen in the cosplay thread... but it's the spirit that counts. See you all there.

So I don't know if anyone else has seen the email yet, but there's going to be a poolside reception tomorrow from 6-9 pm. Maybe just meet up there instead of a dinner or something? I'm down for whatever, but that might just be easiest.

If anyone's still interested in at least putting faces to names, my friend and I will be near the event stage in the Rio at 5:30 (to the right of the pool entrance where the reception is). He'll be wearing all black and I'll be wearing a gray shirt and an extremely sun-faded blue hat. Hope to see someone there!

So detours and a couple other problems have made me a dirty liar about being there at 5:30. We'll be there ASAP if anyone still wants to meet up by the event stage around 7-7:30 unless the reception has designated areas for us to meet up
