Hahaha yep same here, already play with friends, it was my brother who recruited me to play the game :) oh well

Recruit Gen!

I am extremely upset, I've recruited 4/5 people to the game verbally, 3 of them have 90+ days game time and I don't get a reward?

They need to implement these rewards into the core game.

I contacted customer support and they basically said, "I can't help you"

When I asked who can help me or how my voice can be heard he said "I can't help you"

I'm extremely upset by this.

I want all of these items... and I can get none of them because all of my friends either currently play, tried it and moved on to ESO, or have absolutely zero interest in this game whatsoever.

i'm not happy AT ALL. I play with my husband since launch. I want my 2-seat chocobo >:(

I beta tested ESO, and I was not impressed at all. Being in the beta destroyed all my ambition for wanting to play that game :(
I lucked out with the Recruitment system since I have a couple of friends who said "We won't play until either a Ninja class or dual-wielding is introduced to the game". So that means I get to have my rewards come patch 2.4 :)

Edit: I tried explaining how Monks technically are dual-wielding, but apparently in their eyes that doesn't count :P

Is it possible to invite a friend who use to play? Then have them come back by adding days to their sub. Would you still get credit or does it have to be a fresh new account? O.o

Desperate for the chocobo? Cheat. Make a new account, purchase the game and 90 days of sub through the recruit feature. There are people who bought both OSTs just for the minions, surely the same applies to this.

How can my friend enter the invite key? i send him an email but he, he made an accound... and now?

I was wondering about this, taking a look at the service in the mogstation definitely mentions "your friend must register for FINAL FANTASY XIV using the recruitment code", so that doesn't work. Which essentially means, everyone who actually recruited their friends before today gets screwed.

Thats your idea of entitlement? Imagine you donated X amount of money to something, and then a year later they have a promotion that gives something to people who donate X amount of money from that point forward. The rewards should be given to those who already have given that amount. Obviously something like this is hard to prove by word of mouth alone, but you could at least award the items to players who gave buddy passes to their friends and are still subbed to this day. Also caps lock doesn't make you look convincing, and never will.

If you are making donations for a reward or a prize then you are doing it for the wrong reasons. That said, things like this do occur and people miss out on things all the time. It's called life.

Sad day. I already recruited people before this came out. :C Too bad resubbing doesn't count. I'll just have to find another way!

Bad things happen so we should openly accept all of them when we can change them? What a grim mentality.

My solution is designing a new version of the cryptolocker virus that makes them sub for 90 days to unlock.

Bad things happen? Is that really how you are going to describe this whole scenario, regarding pixels in A GAME?! Do you buy a game that you didn't preorder and then demand that you get the preorder items? Do you demand the sale price after a sale has ended?

This sounds like a child throwing a tantrum.

Hmm... Anyone know if it's when they subscribe 90 days on the spot or if they subscribed 90 days in total? (i.e. pay 3 times for one month each). I doubt I could convince anyone I know to sub 3 months on the spot.

The way it appears to work is as soon as they get their 90 day Vet rewards (have paid for 90 days) then the recruiter gets the choco.

I totally get what you're saying, but look at it this way, do you have a way to actually show that you did these things? If they didn't implement some kind of system then people would just be able to go, "uh... yeah, sure! That guy totally told me I should play this game, wow am I glad he did!" Not saying that -you- would, mind, just that it'd be far, far too easy to abuse. It'd be like a store adopting a return policy that doesn't need a receipt.

Nice... This comes AFTER I bought and created accounts for my wife and two of my sons. If this could somehow be retroactive all of us would have the mounts by now.

I understand people want this to be retroactive. It does seem not fair to those who invited friends before. Thing is this very issue was brought up when they introduced the tank mount achievement. We all know how that turned out...

If SE is really in it for money they should allow reactivation to count. Lets say someone quit playing for a few months..well tie in a way to revive the account or something and tie the mount to that as well. Shouldn't be just about trying to get new players.. but trying to recover old players who left as well.
