Story/Learning centered LS

So, it's not usually my style to do things like this, rallying around a cause and whatnot... But the pervasive nature of how some players deal with content (the push to farm) has me feeling like a lot of what is available for the playerbase ends up presented in lackluster form. I think it's a shame, and facts being what they are, it's sadly in the name of individual gain. I'd like to due my part to mitigate this if I can, and so I submit to you a linkshell dedicated to immersion. I want to help people get through content in the way I believe it was meant to be experienced, while helping new players feel relevant.

I know this will take a lot more time than the conventional speedruns that exist, but that's kind of the point. I ask that we seek to enjoy the game and its content, rather than chase these Skinner box rewards. I plan to create this linkshell later tonight, so if you're on cactuar and you're interested in joining, whether to help newer players or to receive help as a new player, I ask you to leave your name here and I will invite the next time I see you online. I intend for this to be a community that will perpetually help one another learn new content and overcome the trend of progression burnout through community.

Sounds great! I'm still in the mid-forties right now, but definitely interested in helping newer players run lower-leveled contents and to learn new things from the more experienced peeps.

If this LS is still going, I suggest creating a thread to promote it in the New Player Board too, since newer players probably look there first for tips and help rather than the community boards. :)

An excellent idea! I will be taking this advice! A big thank you to the favorable responses. I shall be in contact with you all soon, hopefully within the next couple days. RL's been a bit hectic lately, but I look forward to getting Kindred up and running! =)

I too am very interested in this. I'm newly returned to FF XIV but in the past I never made it past level 18 because I found PUGs a little bit too hectic and none of my friends were playing. I've restarted here on Cactuar and would love to be involved with a linkshell like this. What draws me back to FF XIV is the lore and the story so enjoying it while learning? That would be perfect! I've actually been trying to put together a LS of my own for this very reason! Not many people trying to better the server and yet they turn around and complain that they can't get good enough groups.
