The Hunt - a game breaking feature
There is no forum for "the Hunt", so I'll post it here.
The Hunt is not killing the game.
The game is already dead.
Found this really good description:

It's much worse than the guy describes though. He's a veteran player that focuses on those Coil-rewards. But all the rewards are completely off the hook. I was able to get from iLv 75 to 95 in 3-4 hours. I'd have needed weeks for that using the old style.
I can get 100 retainer ventures in 1-2 hours, maximize my weekly soldiery tomes and even equip my secondary job classes with iLv 90 gear extremely quickly without running a single dungeon.
And that directly leads to...
RE: New strategy for Hunts Altogether
I think that SE needs to make copies of all marks but make the new marks FC specific. We can use our FC points to pop an even harder version of the marks we hunt as a group. That way people who are not a part of an FC can kill marks that roam while FCs pop their version of the mark w/o worrying about resets or people complaining that they pulled before the entire zone got there. FCs can summon an A-S rank mark and being able to down it as an FC; Like the leves but for FC members in party. It may even encourage people to join an FC instead of going solo. And I think that all marks.. roaming or FC specific should have a limit. If you kill them once, then you won't get credit for killing them again based off how many seals you earned equaling the max credit allowed for that rank, then you can't earn anymore for that monster after that. I think if you implement this, trolls will stop chomping up content and all of the shout wars will gradually begin to stop.
Fun is the reason to play
Maybe it is “unfair” that the high-level kit many players worked their butts off to get is now easily obtainable via The Hunt. But if that’s what makes it fun for some players, so be it. I suspect the programmers and producers will ratchet back “The Hunt” in time, and those who got their gear that way will learn just how little good it does them if they can’t wield it effectively.
As someone above said, having really flashy gear doesn’t make an unskilled character any good in a fight. Similarly, knowing the best way to get to a given place and getting there on foot beats riding a Couerl but having no idea where you’re going. I’d rather go into battle with marginally-equipped team members who know how to deal with a given monster; who understand teamwork, tactics, and strategy; who think clearly and know how to adapt, than with team members that are super-equipped but still clueless.
