Stop with the overhaul requests already!

Let me start off by saying; It's not that I think the game is spectacular, its simply too far along to do certain things.

As far as I'm concerned, get pissed, get fired up, criticize but do it for valid and current content and features, not things that will never be done. It's like telling Ford to recall all of their cars to make them 3-wheelers vs. recalling them to fix the brakes.

There are so many posts on here about what needs to be fixed or changed entirely and people need to be realistic about what is going to happen. For those that were not in Beta, you may think that bringing up something like the Equipment Screen for revision is new and unique, well, it's not. Just about everything and anything you can think of in terms of existing functionality (from launch) has already been criticized to death before the game even went live.

Here are some things that probably won't be scrapped and redone entirely
Full redesign of anything such as UI and Menu system as a whole
Full redesign of animations / weapon skills
Full redesign of core functionality; Repairs, Crafting, Combat, Travel etc.

That said, there are still plenty of opportunities to change and improve the things listed above or anything for that matter. All I am suggesting is that you be realistic in your suggestions and criticism.

I believe our energy is better spent by coming up with new ideas and suggestions on things that are in the works or recently completed. And to have your voice heard you need to use the Dev Tracker system. If you use the [Dev ????] tag in relation to the feature you are discussing you will at least be tracking back to the development team not just opening the thread for ridicule.

I'm sure this post has been made before and my apologies for not reviving an old one.

tl;dr: Stop trying to remake the game. Make constructive suggestions for new or recently developed things and use the damn Dev Tracker functions.

Edit for clarification: By overhaul I mean removal, abolition and total re-designs. Not changes, tweaks and new features. This is largely in response to people saying "Remove Teleporting", "Get rid of the equipment view", "Get rid of Repairs" etc.

We know a lot of stuff is being re-designed including the zones. And really that is the last thing that needs it imo.

1.19 is supposed to bring:

Crafting recipe reworking
Travel additions (Chocobo/Airships)
Further combat adjustments

So.......I mean these are things that are actually happening/supposed to happen.

Well, at least we'll be there every step of the way.

They did already happen, multiple times. What I meant is they are not getting scrapped and re-built from scratch. They are now being tuned and improved.

You forgot the Auto-Attack vs Stamina Bar argument

We need an overhaul of the game community...its terrible.

I'm expecting the game to keep feeling it's getting constantly overhauled till the core mechanic changes are all finalized. Expect another overhaul when the job system gets implemented.

Until it gets good enough to play, it'll forever the same result.

XIV definately needs its own sacrarium subligar runs indeed. :D
