I used Google translation and apparently there is a long interview with SE regarding XIV. They also mention something about a picture monster book...not sure if that's just in the magazine or if we're getting something like that in the game. Anyway, we'll find out in 4 days. Hopefully it's some good news.

Famitsu had similar for Vanadiel (FFXI) this is for Eorzea, says it has long interview along with information for new, currently playing players.

It's like a guide + some new info in these magazines normally.

I'll check it out in the stores if they have it after the 30th but pretty sure someone going to get it before me and post info for this one... JP magazines hard to get same day here in Cali, normally day or two after

Famitsu has a blog specifically for FFXIV http://www.famitsu.com/ffonline/ff14/ same title as the magazine in your OP. They have interviews and stuff in here sometimes + new info so good to check time to time. Probably once the magazine goes live it will show 'some' info here as well.

I would so love it if the "monster magazine" is going to be IN GAME. This would be awesome. Something like FFXIII's log of monsters you have fought that shows their model and stats.

hah you buy from Play-asia :) I buy a lot from there also.

The magazine should be similar to the FFXI one, has strategy, little bit comic section, monster stat info (FFXI one wasn't art, was just mob picture from in-game with stats), exclusive interview stuff with some old info, some new.

Planning to get it once it's out in the stores here in Cali, might have tomorrow but highly doubt it. Most likely Monday or Tuesday for me to get it here... hope someone posts some pics from Japan lol, people used to scan and just post the whole thing for FFXI but dunno where I might be able to find those for XIV

A friend of mine is coming back from Japan soon, I asked him to get me a copy. I won't understand most of the magazine, but it will be nice to look at the art and pictures.

ah ok the first link was for if you have Chaika add-on for firefox, it lets you view 2ch little bit better than original, like images you can mouse over to see preview instead of click > click link again

Yeah, I saw this a few days ago. Maybe it's a sneak peek into the redesign they're planning? It looks a lot fancier than the Limsa Lominsa we have today.

Looking forward to finding out what the text in that Limsa page says. An entire re-design would be fab but, I'd settle for more stories to explore. The maps look unfinished anyway, especially Ul'dah with all the dead ends that look like more than dead ends.

Comparing what I can make out on the map versus the current map, it doesn't look like anything new in terms of map layout, but could it possibly be talking about Job quests? there are a lot of little black/brown markers on the small image which I am curious as what it is referencing...if anything at all.

Well, even if they did a redesign for instances for CS's that'd be amazing.
But looking at it now, it's probably just a break down of where everything is. ): SOB
