Most people usually go to bed around that time meaning that there are less people to play with especially if you're DPS.
Also "que" is a Spanish word for "what" as well as others, queue is the right word.
Also most just Hunt now....... ; ;
You're trying to play at extremely low-population hours, on a weekday to boot.

True dat - but you're forgeting that DF is matching accross servers se it still pair you with players from other regions / time zones (indeed on the same data centre). To speed up matching in DF (at least duering "dead" hours) you can also select all languages and Join in progress option.
No, I remember it. To my memory though, the Data Centres are still localized based on intended player location - NA servers are grouped with other NA servers, EU servers are with other EU servers, JP servers are with other JP servers. Realistically, the time zone/region difference is only a couple hours at most - midnight PDT is still only 3AM on the east coast. We're still well within the hours for lowest population on these servers.
But yes, opening up more languages and enabling Join In Progress can help.
Combination of hunt and people saying "segregated servers are 100x better." So some time frames are more dead than other.
And there's the fact that toxic DPS players have essentially made Tanks and Healers feel like they should stop doing dungeons altogether.
It's not like we dont have enough tanks and healers. According to a recent poll 48% of the players are tanks and healers, which means 52% are DPS. It's just that they got bullied so much that they dont seem to care about running dungeons with others anymore, and why should they if random DPS #573 is just going to shout at them because he/she felt the need to blame someone for standing in a instant-kill attack.
people dont see the point anymore with frontlines and hunts handing out myth/soldiery like candy. with hunts the added bonus of seals = sands = free 110 gear. why would you run dungeons?
also i hope they stop adding so many lv50 faceroll dungeons each patch with trash vanity loot. we have enough.
wish they would add some coil level stuff only slightly less hard.
to enter Moogle King EX in DF = 1h as an average..this week days or week-ends as a healer...to enter CT2 = around 40-45mn waiting time. Not sure what changed but something did and I dont think is purely due to Hunts, maybe also holidays this is a period of the year where many arent around e.g. holidays so less activity...

Usually after midnight the population starts to dwindle down. My only issue, which I haven't encountered before until yesterday, was that I was in queue for Twin Adder Frontlines for over an hour when I got home at 3pm EST. Then Ex Roulette was like 45min. This has never happened before it's usually 5 and 10 min respectively. So odd.
12 am pst might be dead for dungeons but not for hunts. Still 50+ people all teleporting about, zone zerging into the wee hours of the morning. Even on a weekday. Why do dungeons when you can slay Elite marks for way more myth/sold in a few minutes than a couple hours running dungeons? I'm sure this goes for a majority of servers, not just mine.
Elite hunts are stiff arming roulettes to the wayside.
Hopefully this maintenance on the 29th brings balance to the reward systems and directs players to other content to achieve certain rewards.
Tanks can be Assclowns just as much as DPS in Roulettes. Also Im sure people are just burnt out on Roulettes where they join expecting a somewhat fun and relaxing group to get a Tank, or healer, or DPS that want to use the DF as their Speedrun bitches. I can say for sure on my part that I hated getting jerkwads that would do that. And then there were the clownshoes that would drop group after the second boss in Brayflox. If it was the tank or healer the group was pretty much screwed.
12 AM PST / 3 AM EST until early afternoon = Hunt time, easier to hunt with less a-holes around.
Something to note is that your data center has many low population servers, so now with the hunts around you will be affected more than people in Primal.
My roulette has increased drastically this last 2 weeks, my WHM usually had queues of under 5mins and they are now all in the 10-15mins. My DGN/MNK went up from 8-10mins average to nearly 25-30.
And that is doing the expert roulette (which you need for alex maps) and trials for 8 ppl. I can't imagine how awful the hard/low lv roulette/guildhest roulette must be now...
And yes, I think most the blame goes to hunts, why do a dungeon when you can get allied seals + myth + sold from hunts, specially if your LS is good at tracking spawn times.
I only play as scholar, and I lately realize queue taking more time than before.
I select 5 dungeon at the same time in Duty Finder, with the option "join party in progress". Generally 2 low level, where some healers abandon party, like Cutter Cry and Dzemael Darkhold.
About Hunt, I only do the daily. Elite, only if appear in my front. I prefer dungeon. I think Hunt boring.
By the way, I play some 12-14 hours a day. Although this week is hard I do dungeon because of lag/dc frequent here.
I'm not sure how it was calculated, didn't look. But just because someone levels a tank or healer to 50 or logs out on one doesn't make it their main. There really is no way to calculate the amount of people that main certain jobs in a game that allows you to do everything. Its a far cry from WoW where they had specs even.
I notice that OP is primarily a BRD, and ranged dps almost always get shafted in terms of queue times, even before Hunts were brought into the equation. I find that if I need to do Syrcus or dungeons I will often opt for my melee dps when queuing up. Even later in the evening the wait time as my DRG is drastically shorter than as my BRD.
