A couple mechanics questions (BRDs/general.)

Hiyo! So, to get right to the point, I have just a few simple questions that I don't know and was hoping the more knowledgeable DPS could fill me in on.

How are DoTs calculated? Is it static, or dynamic? Like, if I throw up all of my CDs and DoT, will it snapshot the stats of that second, or will it continually update as I gain/lose buffs?

If dots are static, do they roll? Meaning if I throw up both dots under a slew of buffs, and I reapply them before the duration wears out, will it "roll" the initial status or reapply it based on my current stats?

How many cooldowns can be squeezed into a GCD? I've heard both 2, and 1, but using 2 seems to be pushing it with the animation lock on some of them (like internal release.)

What takes priority to fill a GCD? Bloodletter proc, or popping a DPS cooldown?

What damage type are venomous bite/windbite counted as? Are they buffed by foe req, or DRGN piercing debuff, or nothing at all?

Also, since this is how it works at low level, I figure I'd ask if it continued into high level - does ballad restore enough MP to keep 100% uptime on it like it does when you first get it?

Static, i.e. you should apply you buffs before dots going out.

You have around 1 sec "mandatory" global cooldown even after offcooldown abilities, so you can sqeeze 2 abilities into a GCD, but next ability will be pushed a bit (you'll be uanble to use it just when GCD ends).

Depends on situation. Normally it's bloodletter and misery end, but if you need to reapply dots soon and have more than one cooldown it's better to pop up cooldown manually as you want to stack buffs for dots.

Piercing as all other damage from bard.

With it in mind that you can squeeze in 2 abilities into a GCD at the cost of a slight delay on your next on-GCD ability, is it better to go GCD - CD CD - GCD or GCD - CD - GCD - CD -etc

I usually start with straight shot , blood letter, all CDs, DoT then blunt arrow/repelling shot whenever possible between GCD and if not needed during the fight). Basically I spam heavy shot and refresh DoTs, straight shot and CDs whenever they need to/are available. Bloodletter procs are prioritized over the rest and if a straighter shot procs happen, I wait 2-3 GCD before using it, unless straight shot is about to wear off.

Depends on what you want. If it's DPS off cooldown ability, than GCD - CD - GCD is a proper way. If it's buffs - then it can go all the way to GCD - CD CD CD CD CD - GCD as normally you want all cooldown to be pulled together as much as possible.

Excuse me, but I don't think there is a necessary to pop all the CD before applying Dots because besides Internal Release and BfB, the rest are not affect the DoTs potency in anyway, right? By waiting to pop all Cd before using your DoTs, I believe you are 2-3 sec DPS dots wise behind others. Therefore, I think it is best to apply Dots just right after you have IR and BfB up and you can pop the rest of CD between the rest of the skill later. Forget to mention Raging Strike.

Wouldn't Hawk's eye also increase your DoTs?

I use quelling strikes before engage, and Barrage between the 2 DoTs usually to benefit from the CDs.

SS > BL > RS > Hawk's Eye > B4B > IR > VB > Barr > WB > Flaming arrow

Hawk eye, I think it is only guarantee you with 100% hit chance, is it not? Think they changed it ages ago from 10% Dex increase to 100% hit chance.

Nope, it gives 15% more DEX too

4 of bards cooldowns affect damage (RS, IR, BfB, HE) and fifth (Barrage) you want to stuck as close as possible to other four as it have short duration (10s), but boost your autoattack 3 times. And you want all other buff affect autoattack as well to further boost damage.

Better move BL after you applied at least some of buffs, 50% more damage and 10% more crit is a good tradeoff for 4 sec of cooldown as you don't even have a chance for BL reset yet.

Half-correct; the initial potency is piering (as with anything done by a BRD. The DoT element has no extra physical subset and is not boosted by Disembowel.
