Beef with the duty abandon timer

So I just got stuck in the most nightmarish Stone Vigil HM for my roulette today.

Healer would not leave cleric stance
Dragoon did not do back rotation
BLM use transpose rotation

After 3 attempts, we could not even get the first boss passed 60% hp.

I leave.

Why do I have a 30 minute debuff? It doesn't make any sense.

Because SE can't take into account every possible scenario in the duty finder and it's safer to just punish the big babies who leave early because things aren't going perfect. I bet you're a real fun guy to play with. Also, there's nothing wrong with a transpose rotation.

You're right, there's nothing wrong with doing half the potential dps you could be doing. Sheesh. /sarcasm

Did you attempt to at least help said people?

"Hey healer, you know you have Cleric Stance on. Turn it off if you are planning to heal."
"Dragoon, you should try using the ID-> Dis-> CT combo. It'll boost your DPS."

Not sure what's with your BLM complaint. It'll be worse if they were staying in Umbral Ice the whole time.

I wonder why you have so much trouble with groups.

Edit: There's no need for any fancy rotations in something like HM Stone Vigil, which is easier to blow through than regular Stone Vigil. Save your minmax backseat DPSing attitude for 2nd Coil.

I did not take the time to teach the DRG, no, though I did politely bring it to their attention that they were not using Disembowel or Phlebotemize (sp). The DRG rotation is too much for me to sit down and teach random people in a duty.

As for the BLM, you guys seem to think it's ok that he, as a dps, was doing less damage than me, the tank. I don't get it. If he job is to do DAMAGE, then he should be doing more than 120 dps in i90+. I was doing 145 dps. This is not min-maxing, it's called learning how to play your job. Any BLM can easily pull at least 200 dps single target. That gives room for several mistakes.

It shouldn't be my job as the tank to carry dead weight party members, but that seems to be the trend you guys are enforcing by the sounds of it.

If the BLM was doing less DPS than you while using a transpose rotation he was doing something completely unrelated wrong, and it had nothing to do with transpose. Also, we're only hearing your side of the story. For all we know you're just a gods awful tank.

Trouble with groups? Please. I've cleared this dungeon over 10 times this past week without any sort of difficulty other than with this horrid group.

"Fancy rotations" and "minmax"? It's called not being a tard and learning how to pull your own weight when playing with others.

Edit: Just looked at your profile, and that explains a lot. You've no experience in higher end content so your opinions on the matter really have no credibility. I should know better than to come to the forums though, so I suppose there's nobody to blame but myself for having to read your drivel.

I seriously can't figure out why you have such trouble with other people. You seem like such a stand up guy.

What transpose rotation are we talking about anyway? You mean like flare->transpose->fire3->fire2->flare->repeat? Or was he consistently using transpose with a single target rotation instead of blizzard3?
