There's a reason search engines were created. Try using them sometime.
You can get Sands of Time from Turn 8 and 9 of the Second Binding Coil of Bahamut.
The other way to get the Sands of time is by doing the HUNTS, and buying 3 Blood-spattered Hunt Logs using Allied Seals that you can trade in at Mor Dhona for a Sand of Time.
Ty very much Eidolon and id say thanks to you as well Rider but since you had to be so rude about it ill pass. And fyi Rider this is a forum we can post whatever we like i can ask anything i want. And ppl can choose to ignore my post or choose to tell me what i was asking so i have no clue why you feel the need to go out of your way to be rude about it? did i ask you? i mean taking your time to be like that shows the sort of player you are
He was just giving you some info. Good info, too.
Databases are great tools.
teach a person to fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a person to fish, and you feed them for life.
It's just a very odd question considering they've been in the game for several months now and the new method to acquire them (hunts) is a major topic of conversation, occupying a huge portion of the recent posts. It would seem difficult to post of these forums and not have come across that information incidentally.
Guys, I think you're overlooking a bit of the issue the OP Had with the way the response was presented.
Not many people will want to take advice from someone who provides their 'information' in such a condescending way. Just like in Duty Finders, if you're polite about it, people tend to have a better response than if you rail on them.
More like give a person to fish and you feed him for a day. Attempting to teach a person to fish, and they bite your hands off.
The OP asked a question.
The question has been answered. Why are people still responding to this? This is getting way off tracked
However, what justifies common information? I have a number of friends who are JUST now getting to 50. They might easily get an unidentified Tomestone before they even know where the Sands of Time come from. Or perhaps they were looking to see if there's an undocumented source you can get the tomestones from - there's been a number of times where I googled something and it was either outright wrong, or it had incomplete information.
And how many sources did you look at? One? Two? Ten? Searching for something and taking the very first hit regardless, is something you learn to not do. Something people should teach themselves to not do. In the case of this game, you have the forums as well. You even have the lodestone -> http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...m/2cfbd0893e8/
Aye, and I've already learned how to look across multiple sources and how to look up all the information I need. :) I know basically what I need to know about the game, and I know how to get more information if I need it. You don't really need to explain the process to me =p
However, I DO Think that there are people who might either not be as savvy with the internet, or is looking for more input from others on a live/interactive level.
It seems this thread has gotten quite off topic, and a number of comments are being directed in a negative fashion at each other. Since the question has been answered and many of the additional posts have been removed, I will also be closing this thread.
