I really love the new frontlines content and haven't had so much fun in the game in a while. However, one thing that I think would improve the experience is if assists were counted. Often times I assist the tank fighting the person he is fighting but if he gets the final blow I don't get a count at the end. It would be nice if you contributed x amount of damage if it counted as an assist. This will more accurately reflect the value of members on your team. Please make it happen SE! And oh gives us more locations!

You don't need numbers to know you did good. You just know when you did.
Number almost never tell the whole story and are only useful for epeen stroking, if you have low kills or dmg or heals because you were guarding a flag who was rarely attacked, you did a better job that someone kill-trading blindly.
Hey I'm a healer, I kill almost nothing but I know after all is said and done if I did well or not.
To put it in CoD terms, having a great K/D ratio doesn't mean you are a great player. -

Plus now that the dev is saying they might add sorting to the lists people will be focusing even more on the numbers.
I would even suggest taking more pages from fps by having match achievements like : killed 5 players without dying ect. Things like this get you pumped up for the next match. -

I don't think anyone really wants kill streak rewards, but assists would basically work in the way you described, like they do in most FPS. You need to contribute a decent amount of damage for it to be an "assist", at least in FPS. In games like DOTA I think simply applying a stun would count, which is frankly a pretty big deal in DOTA.

I never really put much stock into 'kills'. As a SMN I am doting everyone up, and there are times I am festering someone to death... but a lot of the time I am just ensuring that pressure is on everyone with Bane. There are also times I come upon two people fighting and help out my teammate by killing the opponent... and they worked so hard but they need a little help, so I help them finish off the person. It's really not fair that I would steal their kill just because I came and killed the person at the last moment. So, assists would be nice but really easy to get, as others have said. I would like if there was some sort of activity gauge to determine how effective people have been as a whole, BUT that would discount the people who spend the game guarding bases, who aren't going to see as much action as aggressors or people storming mid. At the same time, though, it would easily weed out the people who join and do absolutely nothing outside of follow the group.

Regular FPS system doesn't work here though, in that game everybody is particular a DPS.
