How high have you got your desynthesis ranks?

And how are you doing it? I'm into the 80s now, and unless I've missed a mehcanic you need to be desynthing 70+ to rank up at a meaningful pace at this point, I think 90-100 is gonna take a lot of work.

77.47 gsm. I took a break yesterday since 2 stars are destroying my wallet.

77ish GSM and 72 WVR. At least when I run dungeons with the FC I can take whatever stuff to desynth for some breaks in spending on philo mats. Only have gotten one Fieldcraft Demimateria III in about 40ish tries.

A tip here, do not use 2 star, you should use vendor based horn items from aldgoat horns on the rat vendor then after that vacuum up massive amounts of gold ore when people undercut then slam out something like militia earrings, although if you want a faster market to flip i'd suggest using the militia wristlets to make fieldcraft II instead of battle which will sell faster atm.

aldgoat stuff will get you up to mid 60s/70 then the 1 star items will take you to 80 before petering out. Once you are 80 you should then move on to destroying Artisan Spectacles... as far as my own rating im well north of 80+ ;)

Edit: i'll throw in a bonus nugget, if you want mass Mastercraft Demimateria and Field 3s, just do as I said here and start destroying spectacles.

85 CUL. I ran out of my two-star stock and bought up the marketboard on high level fish. Nothing noteworthy has popped up yes besides the usual clear demimateria I/II/III trash. Getting my two-star high levels at about 64% success rate if I can remember correctly.

I'd say pretty much. Kinda of a let-down they didn't implement fieldcraft demimateria into the fish. But I'm beginning to wonder if they even care about fishing.

Edit: But breaking down meals might have more to it. I haven't gone that direction yet but I'm assuming that would probably not make the demimateria needed for a new fishing pole.

Astrolabe Clinometer. It's a worse % chance then a completed staff but I think staff would give Battlecraft.

Awesome! Thanks soooo much for this. I was afraid I'd have to desynth Artisan equipment to get Fieldcraft IIIs! This is so much less painful, though still pretty expensive.

77 on bsm and gsm. Working on armorer now. I've already desynthed a few ifirit drops. Also this.

I've mostly been desynthing rampagers and darklight jewelry.

I havnt done much desynthing yet but I know when I checked it was saying that gear wasn't doable.. does that mean my rank isn't high enough.??

cus I vender trashed some gear for gc seals and im gonna be pissed...lol

There's a minimum level for desynthing an item, think it's about 15-20 below the item level. Under that and you get the 'cannot desynth' message. Coil drop are not desynthable, but most dungeon drops are and I believe CT1 drops are.

Not a noob question; I've looked all around and am pretty convinced it's not implemented.

Edit: even just checked in the keybind menu, nothing there.

You can access that window by going to your "Classes" tab on your character and and clicking any of your Disciples of the Hand titles. The "Desynthesis Skill" window will then appear.

74 GSM and 74 BSM. I haven't seen it mentioned but for GSM PvP Warwolf items are i70 and you can desynth them for skill ups and I imagine they can yield battlecraft III demimateria. Not bad since they only cost 625 Wolf Marks each. Might be good way to skill up in addition to doing Artisan Specs.

How fast can you earn that many marks? Im just curious in comparison to say destroying myth based i70 items

if you can get in 3-4 Frontlines an hour you can prob earn enough for 1-3 Warwolf accessories an hour. How many Wolf marks you can earn depends on how you place in the match. I think a win for Frontlines gives 600 Wolf Marks.

That actually sounds like one of the most economical ways to skill up for the masses and actually put supply into the market to drive costs down and get flow going

I do frontlines for il70 acc as a gsm, it works quite well. If you get the 10% marks buff from your FC you get 660 marks for a win. You need 1 win or 2 second/third place finishes for each piece of il70 acc. A match usually takes 10 minutes to complete. The new matching method makes the wait time 1-3 minutes. You also get 50 myth and 25 sol regardless of the outcome. Also, halatali HM is great for DL acc. Even if you DF it there are usually 1-2 chests people do not open. If you want IL80, you should not do CT, but do the new dungeons for il80 gear in the chests. The second boss chest has acc gsm can break down.

Any advice on how to get bsm from 44 ish up, what ilvl items should I target for a good exp per desynth? A few above my desynth skill or around it I'm confused.
I had hopes this would be a bit easier on the wallet lol

I experimented around and found out that materia boost desynth % success by 5 each time, while SB does not affect increase.

Grats! What items did u break down from 90-100? I heard BSM is very hard to level due to no i90 weapons being able to break down. Furniture seems to be the only option but they dont have materia slots to increase the odds. Im currently doin GSM but was going to do bsm next.

Which dungeon and which bosses usually drop GSM accessories? U mentioned 2nd boss but not which dungeon. I searched on the list on lodestone and they seem to have spread out the jewelry across all 3 of the new ones. Fending for example drops 1 jewelry in each so id need to run them all for a chance at loting on them. I only wish pvp had i80 accessories we could buy with marks as well. This method seems very slow. The only other alternative is to skip i80 altogether and go the expensive route of crafted i90 but low odds.

I just found this, if you go to classes then select one of your crafts it'll bring it up.

Also I've been trying to work out what to go for for my third desynth, really can't work out whether to go blacksmith or weaver (alchemist and goldsmith are the two I'll take to 100). Really had slog for 70+ and decent access to primal demimateria, or vice versa.

All the basic seal items are wiped, animal fat, coke, peacock ore, etc. Price went from 3K to as much as 10K. Crystals? Wish you LoL (Lots of Luck) on buying those.

I am at 75.62 myself on GSM, and I am NOT looking forward to using iL70 items to level up.

Supply and demand works in very funny ways, especially when demand is "yesterday" and the supply is "I am busy with destroying it".

All of your iL70 gears needs those GC seals items, but yet, you have no supply to craft the items with because everyone is so busy with blowing them up to level up the desyn lvls. You simulate the market by getting people to spend their stored gils and suppliers make the items.

Right now, what we have is an unnecessary inflation because players are busy with destroying the money and supply.

There used to be at least 5-10 listing on all the iL70 gears on my server, now? 1-2. At this rate, the only market SE is going to simulate is the RMT market.

its killing the market bc people want to max their crafts in a day when it was intended to be a long term thing. its just the way some mmo players are, myself included. i am addicted to this desynthing shit, its all I've been doing. haven't even tried pvp yet.

once i get my level to around 80 i stop buying stuff. 80 is good enough, and i just farm dungeons now. much cheaper, and doesn't take much longer.

same on behemoth. all gc seals items are averaging at 10k a pop.

I use to be a very active 2* crafter because the mats were easier to get than 3* and they take a lot less time to make and sell.

now though ive had to increase the price to the point the average player cant afford and I don't even have 1 off everything up anymore as I just can not get enough mats.

and I am also desynthing and I'm at the point I need i70 gear. but I think I will run dungeons as ill get darklight gear to desynth and I can trade what I don't need for seals. plus ill continue to get myth and sol tomes at the same time.

then when the market calms down (if ever) ill start buying from the mb to craft again.

but for now im taking a break on 2* and making dodore items and levin bardings.. both of which have great returns and are selling, although not fast

Where do u get dodore wings or skins from?
Is it aurum vale? And if so where exactly?
