GOLDEN MAGITEK HAS NO CANNONS

Do the cannons do anything or are they just for fun?

Maybe the people who boosted for them didn't get the cannons? ;b

Think of it like thosee golden ak47s people flash around, its pretty to look at but try and fire it and it'll probably just blow up in your hands.

According to the description on the mount list they're now standard issue though lol. So Garleans have Magitek with no weaponry now, at least future battles should be easier I guess.

Uh..guys think about it for a moment... our storyline magitek mount is stolen from Garleans...

The golden magitek mount is from some random dude whom gave away stuff for some story.

So yeah..there is a difference.

If you read the mount description, the gilding is magic resistant because the empire was having them all blown up by mages. They are now standard issue, guns... not standard apparently.

Maybe they'll add something more flashy than normal cannons, like fireworks. I was a little bummed that they ignored it with this patch, but the only mount animations are the standard ones that already had animations from quests. Hopefully they'll add something for all of the mounts, especially the subscriber bonus ones. Gilded Magitek shoots golden fireworks, Fat Chocobo does a ground pound, Behemoth shouts "GRRAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH".
