Naul, Elite Mark

Anyone already know the pos for this?
Just saw Marraco and killed near the main Aether (Coerthas).
Had 20 Allied, 80 Myth and 20 Soldiery. We're at Behemoth Dominiom at the moment.

I just killed a hunt monster in outer la noscea with a tank and a black mage (i was a whm)
He did a nasty aoe that would do more than 50% of mine and the blms hp and also stunned us and put a debuff for dmg vulnerabliltiy (how do you even spell that word?)
I recommend keeping stoneskin up on all your members :D

Stupid question because very early (i think), but do we know if the weekly hunts respawn?

Well i was running through east shroud (20,21) and found stinging sophie. Was easily soloable and only gave 5 allied seals, 30 myth, 10 soldiery.

Do you need to pick up a quest first to start the hunt?

is there a mark on the map for the hunt mobs?

nope, they are just named mobs

Yes you need to pick up a quest to get started on hunts. Its an NPC at your Grand Company headquarters. This is so you can use the hunt board for bills. Not sure if you need to start this quest to kill elite marks and receive the seals though.

Nope. And for the dailies I cant find anywhere in my journal or logs that keeps track of them for you. I took photos of the 5 I needed with my phone. Or you could write them down too i suppose.

You know that it tells you it puts an item in key items to check, right? Yes, you have to read to know this.

Found him 11 13; he was killed by an asshole bard before anyone can attempt to get any credit (I know I didn't get it -.-)

He's been up twice on Ultros, two very different spawn points, probably random.

Died in like 10 seconds to the zerg. B rank mobs have so little hp.

I've seen him twice on Moogle. Spawned in two different locations, once in snowstorm and once in snow.

Just spawned at (15, 28). And of course people waited til it was almost dead to shout it was up so nobody had a chance at it except the few who spotted it. This is going to be near impossible when there are a lot of people on looking for it. Theres no way people will be nice enogh to hold off for 5 minutes to let others come first. all it will take is 1 person to start killing it. Early reports are that its on a 30 minute respawn and takes less than a minute to kill sooo....

How I miss Widescan

FC just killed it again before I arrive this is like their 7th NM kill i'm wondering if its on 5 min repop timers like 1.0 just /random areas

So are the elite mark hunts fates?

nope they have same NM mark as old 1.0 NMs they just spawn randomly

nm need alot more hp, impossible to get any credit if only 15 seconds away from mob...fix se

This is lame. Naul doesnt have hardly any HP and dies in 20 seconds. Seen it twice now and just as I get there it dies. I got 1 hit on it the last time and got 1 seal and no credit towards my bill. It also spawns all over the map from one side to the other and everywhere in between.

Let's hope they work like fates, getting stronger the more people zerg it, if not, then hot fix please O.O

Feel sorry for all those people teleporting only to see A-B rank monsters melt in 10 seconds :(

The Hand NM is hilarious it uses a move that counters magic or physical with huge #'s instantly half the ppl die

How about introducing Phasing in FF14ARR? I hate to compete against others for any mob. It annoyed me when I was hunting mobs for Animus book, it annoys me when I have to hunt daily beast tribe mob targets. Why can't the enemy spawn for the player who has the quest exclusively? Player + group he is in. Without a chance for random people to kill it? Just like mobs that spawn during leves..others can't attack them. I like phasing, why doesn't SE? Let me guess, it is another challenging time sink?

The crowd isn't going to die down anytime soon. There are still huge crowds for Odin and behemoth a year after release. And this is early morning. Just wait til primetime.

The difference being Odin and Behemoth spawn once every few days...these apparently spawn every half hour or so...it will die down :/

N00b question, but I figured I would ask here rather than start a new thread. I had about 10 minutes to mess around this morning before work. I found the hunt board but it said I could not accept any quests... do I have to be level 50, or perhaps there is a quest to unlock the hunt board? **EDIT** I see this was answered above...Thanks!

Yes, you need to unlock the board with a quest at lvl50.

Tomestones of Mythology and Soldiery are tokens dropped in dungeons, daily beast quests, and by these hunts to buy gear from Rowena in Mor Dhona.

It is a form of currency that your earn to purchase end-game gear from Reveant's Toll NPCs. You get it from doing Roulette's, Hunts, Raids, etc. You will get more into this once you have hit 50 and start some of the end-game (for now) content. I hope this helps you out!

You can buy highlevel equip and other stuff with them from Rowena in Mor Dhonna.

So.... is there a spawn time for Naul? No one in Coerthas has seen him in 40 min so far, everyone is running around like mad people on crack.

Anyone on Masamune having trouble finding NMs? Didn't know if might be easier since Japanese server lol.

In other words, people are going to be camping the spawn points :) I was hoping that you'd spawn it like you would a leve, but not solo leve, something you would do in a group/party! I guess it's gonna be hard achievement to get, let's hope I get lucky one day! :p

I've had a lot of good experiences as well with the community. There are always the occasional bad apples, but 90% that I've dealt with are happy, helpful, and respectful. :)

Anyone care to post POS of where they saw kills so we can see if it is random or just selected from a handful of locations

We found Naul outside the entrance to Dzemael Darkhold. And because there's a lot of rumors regarding weather and stuff, I kept these conditions in mind...

Eorzea time: about 3 pm
Weather: clear
Prior location: near Stone Vigil
Someone mentioned Svara had to be up... we had defeated Svara about 15 minutes before Naul was located.
I hit him once, and then used Flash a lot until the mob showed up and killed him, and received full credit for the hunting bill.

The current buzz is that elite marks spawn (even the ones not on this week's bill) about every 45-55 minutes and always give myth and soldiery tomes separate from the bill reward...

Anyway, that's my report.
