I hope I'm reading these Patch Notes wrong...

Any of the i95 Primal Weapon Upgrades costs Terminus Putty x10 & then some.

Terminus Putty x3 costs 450 Myth.

Essentially, it's 1,500 Myth per & then some.

Sure, I think it likely Star III materials can be bought with Allied Marks or that the Hunt Rewards may include things like Terminus Putty's...

But still.

Guess we'll see how it pans out in the morning, but geez-o-pete.

Wouldn't be so bad if all us Relic-goers weren't so locked into our insane Myth Expenditure Requirements.

Guess they're gonna be mostly Prestige Items now considering we'll need the Primal Material (prices skyrocketing, another low droprate, & 1/8 after that)... kinda cool I suppose, I just they offer us more alternatives to Myth Spending (c'mon Allied Marks!) or legitimately increase the Rates.

To be fair most 3star crafts takes about 1000-1500 myth. Chest and Leg Armor costs 2 mats at 500 each and the 450 it takes for the 3 putty(you only need 2 for most, 1 for belts). So it's basically par the cost of most crafted items.

Farming the myth is nothing compared to the fact you need to farm an EX Primal mat and potentially multiple weapons to desynthesize for the demimateria. Going to cost a fortune for a weapon equal to what you can farm off Levi and less than Ramuh. Unless they gain material slots on top of the glow that's bonkers.

You need to desynth a bunch of weapons to hope you get the mats from it as well. This is obviously the option for people who can't get other weapons (2nd coil, levi ex, ramahu ect) or some crafter who wants to make a profit on the market boards.

and to top it all off, they're mere i95 weapons. Even those who couldn't get past the 1st 3 primals can access Levithan now that they eased the entry requirements, so everybody should be swimming in i95 weapons.

Plus why not just fight the primals in the first place and drop yeah done :P that or even my Retainers keep bringing me primal weapons anyhow

Your forgetting the slashed them on the three current experts moving them down to High and the three new Dungeons will more then likely be the 45 tomb dungeons

3 Wolfram Ingots for Blacksmith-made weapons

3 Ancient Lumbers for Carpenter-made weapons


Plus 3 Desinthesyzed Primal HM weapons of the same primal
Plus 1 Primal EX random drop (Vortex Feather, Crag Heart, Inferno Horn) that I have seen only once even having killed them over 50 times.
Plus 10 Demimateria of Battlecraft (probably from Desinthesyzed lv 45+ gear)


VERY VERY expensive and rare items used.

I bet it will start selling for 3 million gil on my server (Goblin) if not more.

I have the mats for a Garuda weapon, it seems.

Wonder how grindy it will be to level the Desinthesys skill to get the grade III and Primal Demimaterias

Hopefully the Primal EX random drop can be gained alternatively from Desynthing Primal hm/ex gear on an uncommon-rare basis.

I wouldn't worry abou tthat. Soldiery was slashed from 2.2's expert dungeons, but those are going to be in the high level roulette now while the expert roulette gives an extra 10 soldiery (35 instead of 25) and the new 2.3 dungeons probably give the same 45 we're used to, or perhaps even 50.

The cost of the new weapons does look absurd, though I hope at least when they said you sometimes get a rare item they didn't mean that you usually don't get demimateria. Imagine desynthing 30 Ifrit weapons to get the 3 Inferno demimateria you need....

200 myth for CT1, 70 myth for bray, 100 myth for high level roulette, 100 myth for roulette trials, 110 myth for roulette main scenario, new dungeons? new CT? frontlines? a weapon costing 1500 myth? small price imo, now desynth is a whole nother story
