Patch 1.18 produces hilarious amounts of pointless internet rage

Seriously guys (myself included).

I think we all just need to chill out and attempt to have coherent, non adolescent-hormone rage induced discussions over sp changes, mp changes, class nerfing, etc.

There are more important things in life :(

All I know is that when a patch for a game that flopped 10 months ago makes the servers almost crash they have nothing to worry about as long as the game ends up being decent.

The fans are loyal and SE knows this.

I think our allegiance to this game is so intense because we've all played at least 5 or so FFs and people grew attached to those, played ff1, and were no where near expecting this to happen.

FF14 was hyped and biggest let down of 2010-Present =/ (hopefully changes with time)

I think some of this bickering comes from posters reading the title, and then stopping there.

There's something to be said about what you title your thread, if you include harsh statements I think people are going to come to expect that the OP is just a bunch of loaded nonsense without one ounce of strongly supported opinion that can later be discussed.

For example "1.18 IS GREAT, GTFO"

But yes, this is the general forums. Please kindly point me in the direction of these classier forums, sir.

I see this game as a piece of art, like an album/movie etc. I dont want to impose ideas on it etc. It's the creators duty to make a game that they want. If I like it, then cool, I will keep on playing. If it's not my taste and not the kind of game that I like. Then I'll leave it and that's that.
That's just my view on it though. I didnt like FFXIII so I quit playing it. Same with FFXII. If it's good, its good.

There's too much opinions everywhere. Imagine if an artist/band did this. what a clusterfuck it would have been.

I feel like there's some deep psychological damage done, if only I could worm my way into their hearts as hotpockets have. Then I could heal them from the inside out, but only when they need it. Gotta conserve my MP after all.

ok...my biggest complaint, despite the MP cost...is that all of the CON raises are on the same timer...so if we wipe..and I"m the only one up...ha...1 raise every 5 minutes..lame..

yes, all raises are on the same timer (aside from Rebirth) this includes the thm skill

Mp management in this patch is a godsend in my opinion. It creates better players and it's similar to 11. Before it was ridiculous now its more balanced. I won't say that it doesn't need a little tweaking but it's 1000x better than it was before.
